Hoover/SEC won't show "controversial" replays. So all I had going for me was what I saw sitting between 3rd and home. Granted,I am an LSU fan but it looked like Rivera and Fraley met on the plate.

He was 100% out, but the catcher was very arguably blocking the plate BEFORE he got the ball

Ump saw an upper body tag and saw Fraley's foot hit the plate. Don't blame him for calling him safe, really tough call. But he was out. Oh well!

That's what I keep seeing. His leg is in the baseline before he has the ball and after Fraley is already sliding.

From the angle on TV it's entirely possible that he got either his foot or oven mitt in there.

In person looked like the catcher was blocking the player before he got the ball (99% sure he was ) which is illegal.

And I was sitting right by where breaux dropped the ball and there's no way you could overturn that as fair 0%. If it was fair it might've hit the line. Total B.s.

This

it's extremely rare for a top of the head tag to get someone out on a foot first slide. In this case he got the tag before Jake touched the plate

Live, it looked like he got in under the tag but the replay showed he was clearly out. I guess you can argue blocking the plate but I think the catcher just made a good play.

Look at his hand, not his feet. His left hand touched the plate.

It was weird how the camera angles worked out. From the field angle, he looked easily safe, but from the one he was running toward, he looked easily out.

He would have been safe for sure if the catcher wasn't blocking the plate early, so I don't feel too bad about it.

And by that, I mean I don't feel bad at all.

Guys, he was out. They showed the replay the replay like 10 times last night. We got the call because it was high tag.

I could argue the catcher was not blocking the base line without the ball because his left foot was on the right edge of the line. We caught a break, should've been out.

A player can be in the baseline if they have the ball or are making a play on the ball. A ball being thrown to you is making a play on the ball and the catcher has the right to that spot. It is actually proper positioning to be right there.
