In 1985 me and our ace threw a combined no hitter, we went to Mr Gatties after to celebrate. So while it's not a huge deal I think they've at least earned a trip for pizza and watching a cheesy 70s flick on the projection screen, plus a pitcher of coke.

How does one expect an annoucer not to mention it at some point being that its there job to talk about what is happening in the game

Typically the announcer will mention how well the pitcher(s) is/are doing generally but would more than likely not utter the words. The color guy, having a baseball playing background, would NEVER mention it.
