I'm going to go ahead and guess that the pitcher isn't listening to the SECN broadcast

lol, I'm sure you'd say it's no big deal if it was LSU combining for a no hitter

I do. That's why I started this. It is a Cardinal sin to ever mention a no hitter before it is complete, whether it is one or fifteen pitchers.

It is baseball tradition. The dugout never brings it up. Not only is it considered a jinx, it puts too much pressure on the pitcher to be constantly reminded he has a no hitter going.

This is wrong. The entire team talks about it, just not to the pitcher or around the pitcher so he can hear. Talking to the pitcher about it is what is considered to jinx him.

And the big deal about a No Hitter is that ONE pitcher had the strength and fortitude to go the entire gane himself and not let anyone get a hit. If he can go the entire game and not let anyone on base, even better...that's a perfect game. But teams do take pride in a team no Hitter, it's just not as big a deal.

I just showed up to say it's a team no hitter so no one cares. Also whenever I hear anyone refer to Kyle Peterson as "these a-hole announcers" or similar, I assume this is their first time watching college baseball and immediately disregard their shitty opinion.

Obviously not as big of a deal as one guy, but it's still impressive. Or I guess it's not, since you say so. Happens all the time, right?

It's not a jinx for the TV announcers or someone in the viewing audience to say it...

where did I say it happens all the time? I never said it's not impressive. It's just not a 1 man no hitter. which is one of the more difficult things to do in sports.

You're right. When you said "I don't give a frick" I must've misunderstood.

Clearly a sign of being impressed

So something can be impressive but no big deal? That's interesting. Never really thought about that.
