All you needed to say to throw any credibility out the window. So who was first, Auburn or Bama?

SEC West:
Auburn: 10-3 (7-2); L UGA, Tenn, WVU; W SEC Champ
LSU: 10-2 (6-2); L Aub, UF
Alabama: 8-4 (4-4); L UGA, Tenn, LSU, Aub
Mississippi State: 8-4 (4-4); L Aub, LSU, Tenn, Bama
Arkansas: 4-8 (1-7); W WIU, ULM, Miss, Tulsa
Ole Miss: 4-8 (1-7); W Memphis, Samford, Vandy, ULM

SEC East:
Tennessee: 11-2 (7-2); L UGA; L SEC Champ
Georgia: 10-2 (6-2); L USC, L LSU
Florida: 10-2 (6-2); L Tenn, UGA
South Carolina: 9-3 (5-3); L LSU, Tenn, UF
Kentucky: 5-7 (1-7); W Louis, Norfolk, MTSU, WKU, Vandy
Vanderbilt: 3-9 (0-8); W Miami (OH), Rice, Duke

Bowls:

Auburn - Sugar
LSU/UGA (not sure which) - BCS berth
LSU/UGA (whichever one isn't in BCS) - Capital One
Florida - Outback
South Carolina - Cotton
Alabama - Peach
Mississippi State - Liberty

Now, I've got a dead tie on the Aub/LSU game, with Auburn getting the edge for various reasons; I can't help but think there will be a bad/missed call by the referees, but regardless of how it happens, the tie is broken in Auburn's favor. On the other hand, let's assume LSU wins...I give LSU the win over Tennessee because I think that if Auburn could do it that LSU could as well.

We're looking at:

LSU - 12-1, BCS title (boy, would that be cool or what?)
UGA - Sugar
Florida - Capital One
Tennessee - Outback
South Carolina - Cotton*
Alabama - Peach
Mississippi State - Liberty

*: Normally the Cotton takes the best SEC West team left, but here USC has a game advantage over Bama and MSU, so I think they get the nod.

I think the biggest sleeper this year in the West though will be Ole Miss. Houston Nutt has more talent there than he ever had at Arkansas.

don't be fooled by recent respectable recruiting of Ole Miss. Orgeron boosted these rankings by signing and resigning 4 or 5 star guys that never play for Ole Miss b/c of grades. Jerel Powe gave them 15 additional stars over 3 years i believe. as he kept resigning and then failing to qualify.

One caller even said with sabans players gone they will not be able to cover up bad coaching for the most part.

Well hell, we haven't heard that since....last year. Alabama easily has the most arrogant, obsessed, and delusional fan base on the planet.

Winner of LSU/Auburn has decided the West a lot as of late.

No different this year.

WNSP is just some station in South Alabama in love with Saban. The afternoon shows used to be really good when Neal McCready, a UL-Monroe grad, was there. If you live in Mobile, you know who he is. The station fired him after was not giving enough love to Saban and Alabama. He even predicted Bama would loose to MSU and UL-Monroe.

Neal was the only real sports journalist on that station, and was a voter in the national press college football pole. And he was NOT an LSU supporter, just a fairly objective journalist who made the show very interesting.

The fact that he did not kiss the a.. of Alabama folks cost him his position there. So much for journalistic integrity on the part of the station owners. They bowed to their listeners prejudices inspite of the fact that the show was entertaining and educational when Neal was a part of the show.

West East
1. LSU 1. Florida
2. Alabama 2. Georgia
3. Auburn 3. South Carolina
4. Ole Miss 4. Tennessee
5. MSU 5. Kentucky
6. Arkansas 6. Vanderbilt

Rematch in the Georgia Dome.
Florida wins the east because when they play georgia in jacksonville Stafford throws a costly interception thinking he is good enough to make it in a small window.

Look for the West to be a run-oriented league this season due to inexperienced QB play and JP Wilson's inability to handle the pass rush. LSU's SEC East schedule is a beast plus we will probably get hosed at Auburn again this year. LSU vs. Bama could be for second in the SEC East. Hope I'm wrong.

...

Whoops. ;>_______>

Good thing that's not difficult to answer, since the Cotton is slanted toward the West.

If that alternate scenario plays out and LSU beats Auburn, thus going 12-1 and winning the SEC:

LSU - 12-1, BCS title game
Georgia - 10-2, Sugar Bowl
Florida - 10-2, Capital One Bowl
Tennessee - 11-2, Outback Bowl
Auburn - 8-4, Cotton Bowl
South Carolina - 9-3, Peach Bowl
Alabama - 8-4, Liberty Bowl
Mississippi State - 8-4, Music City Bowl

Winner of LSU & Auburn, Nuff said. The rest of the west is mediocre.

1. Auburn, give the edge to the home ref homers.
2. LSU

Unbelievable you all have Arkansas last and Bamer in a tie with you all. This just in Bama sucks and will continue to suck under Saban.

How about that boot trophy we play for every year?
