Don't mind. Better venue than Zephyr field, although I'd rather it be as close to Baton Rouge as possible.

SEC isn't letting anything get away from their offices.

As much as I would like for it to be in New Orleans

Hoover Met >>> Zephyr Field

Memphis was the popular other choice. Zephyr is too far from the Quarter. They're all 3 roughly the same distance from me so no big deal.

Why would A&M, Mizzou, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Vandy, or MSU vote for Hoover over Memphis?

Agreed but it probably already is as close to BR as possible. I'd rather it stay in Hoover than move to, say, Atlanta.

And their 14 wives just received cash "gifts" from the Hoover Collation for a Better Tomorrow.

Memphis or Biloxi would've been so awesome

But they've been in Hoover since '98 so I guess their thinking was if it isn't broken don't fix it

That's my opinion as well. If there are legit complaints about the tournament as it is now, then I can see the desire to move. But what are the issues with Hoover?
