Bama fans say we're not a rival, that "Tennessee and Auburn games are more important games to them", but then why does the SEC give them two weeks to prepare for LSU? Yes, I know, LSU gets two weeks, too. Not that it necessarily would have mattered this year. Jesus, what a powerful team they have this year, but overall, every year, Bama gets to rest, get well, and Saban gets to game plan an extra week.

Shouldn't the SEC move that around a little, and force Bama to have to play LSU a week after a tough SEC game?

Teams request where their bye week falls. So that tells you everything you need to know about the rivalry.

Or we work harder, spend more resources, get better and go kick their arse.

LSU gets Bama’s absolute best effort year in and year out, regardless of what “fans” say.

Not a rival but this game HAS to be played on the first Saturday in November. Sure seems like a rivalry kind of thing to me.

Bama backloads their schedule in the SEC with their biggest rivals, LSU and AU.

The matchup of LSU/Bama isn't a rivalry currently to the fans due to Bama winning 8 in a row. However, the powers that be have treated us like a rival during this stretch with the bridge scheduling as well.

As for LSU and their bye before Bama, I don't know if this helps or not. Doesn't matter anyway, honestly.

LSU, along with other teams in the West, have to be able to beat them twice going forward. We won't be the only program to struggle under that scenario, regardless of the regular season schedule.

Still waiting for that, "Football teams are cyclical. They go up, and eventually go down" to hit Bama, but it doesn't seem to happen for them.

Of course it does, and it did.

Remember, LSU, between 2001ish to 2011 had their number. Before the Mulligan Bowl of 2012, Miles was giving Saban fits. Had beaten him twice in a row, and in the 2009 matchup, Saban needed a dirty hit on JJ to get him out of the game along with corrupt officiating to get the W.

LSU fans are just upset that Bama is on top now and will be for a long time. How they got there is another story, but the fact that their Alum control every aspect of the SEC will keep them there for a while.

I would like LSU to move the bye week to mid October or after bama game.

Seems like the bye week before the bama game screws with the coaches more than the players.
