I think all the tiger fans are pissed because at the end of the article it says that the Scott call was made correctly. I have to disagree here because scott made a refence to the sky, not the fans, turned got some high fives and got the frick off the field. Green and his team wer continuely being told to get off the field by the officals but continued celebrating. I disagree with both calls but to say scott's was made right it total bullshite!!!

Calm down man, it's ok. I wasn't serious on the AU thing. I blame neither Les nor the refs for it, but that's a story for another thread.

Who cares. We lost you won. We should have tackled better and used Ealey instead of (he needs to learn the blitz pick-up blocking BS coach speak) you always hear with young RB's.

I like how you guys rip us for whining about the call...then proceed to whine about all of the missed calls on LSU....after you WON. You think that's the only call they missed on UGA all day?

still waiting on our apology from Auburn 06

I think the point about this is that the refs didn't come right out and admit they were wrong after the fact (or did they)? The call @ Auburn was clearly a bad call based on the rule book, the UGA celebration one can be debated since they called one on us immediately thereafter for far less than what UGA did.

Regardless, Florida is next, move on.

Keiland Williams points to the sky and kneels after every touchdown. He has never been called for unsportsman like conduct. How is it a penatly all of a sudden?

We are just hoping for an apology too. Apparently whining is how you get an apology these days.

well i was only referring to those 1 or 2 people. as usual, the intelligent fans on both sides know what happened, and know that games are NOT decided on one or two calls, or even just one or two plays.

You're assuming everything that happened following the kickoff would have unfolded exactly the same way if there had been no penalty. You can't assume that.

That's the thing. Either way you go it's an assumption. You can assume that things would have been different or you can assume that things would have been the same.

The way I look at it is that the burden is on the side making the claim. If anyone wants to claim that the call cost Georgia the game, then they have to prove that. (Of course, in reality the game is over and it doesn't matter anyway).

FWIW I agree that it was a horrible call and I'm glad that the SEC office seemed to at least go a lilttle ways towards acknowledging that their officials can and do screw up. Of course from my view the call against Scott was much worse cause the guy seemed to be acknowledging and giving thanks to God. It just seems wrong to punish him for that.

What Georgia fans should be more upset about is that Trindon Holliday ran the kickoff back 40 yards, then Charles Scott ran it in from 33 yards out - a 73 yard impact - damn those refs! Both had far more impact on Georgia losing than a 15 yard penalty.

They did. Redding said it was a good call b/c the AU player didn't hold him long enough before the pass was tipped.

Geez, when will this shite end? UGA lost because we can't cover kicks, our defense was tired from our offense sucking arse all day, we couldn't stop Scott, our QB can't hit the WRs most of the time...we did not lose because of that obviously retarded call.

I hope our team is focused on UTurd and not this shite.

+1

With all the hundreds of bad calls I have seen against LSU in my life I don't recall the SEC every apologizing for one. Why the frick are they apologizing to UGA???

It's perfect irony that they say the call against UGA was wrong but the one against Scott was correct? I think we need further explanation on this matter to clear this rule up but we will NEVER get one.

What about the non-holding on Alem all game?

No kidding. I wish I was tech savvy. I would take the DVR and produce photo after photo of Alem with a Georgia lineman holding the hell out of him. Just about every play.

I'm not whining. Chit happens and calls are missed. Just like passes are missed/dropped, fumbles are dropped, containment on K/O's are loss, and tackles are missed.

You either overcome it or you don't. We did and it's on to the Gators.

Good luck on the rest of your season.

And that was clear and obvious - mere grabbing by the offensive lineman is not grounds for holding - the UGA LT was grabbing and pulling on Alem's arm on several plays. To be fair to the officials, they also didn't call some holding on LSU OL.

I'm telling ya'll, the SEC office is just lubing us up for the screwing we're gonna get from the officals against either the Barners or the Gumps.
