Hard to argue with that. It's a terrific record.
Now let's get out there and win a super at The Box and win in Omaha.

It was long ago established here that Pawl is tGOAT regular season coach.

6 straight national seeds is absolutely amazing. That's really fricking hard to do in this age of baseball

We've been great tee-to-green but we really need to start making some putts.

But but but, what about the mid-week games? ??

I really do hope all this fire Paul deal stops. He's been a great coach for us. Sure he doesn't have the nattys skip had but no one has. Paul just won the sec with 2 rookie assistant coaches. That's a hell of a job

2 such events are the SEC Tournament and the CWS in Omaha. Let's see what happens in the SEC once we get beyond our weekend starters.

You can get through the CWS with three starters... the games are spread out.

Isn't the real knock on Mainieri is the way he tends to throw players under the bus?

Since 2012... this is what has most fans the way they are.
If there is 2 wins in Omaha, then a lot of our fans will be very happy this year IMO...
I will ban myself for1 year from baseball for making the finals at Omaha.
1-4 in Omaha.
2 losses in Super Reguonals
1 Regional Loss

Well last years super regional loss came to the national champs so that deserves a pass in my opinion. I agree that the post season record has not been great since 2012, but that is not a reason for firing.
I live in Colorado and follow the Denver Nuggets. George Karl led the Nuggets to 10 great regular seasons and 10 straight playoff births. However, he only got past round one once and the fans were fed up with his lack of playoff success so they ran him out town. Since they fired him they have been awful and have not made the playoffs since. You have to be careful with what you ask for, things don't always get better.

You're on a battlefield and your gun you've had since you started combat and got a few kills with runs out of ammo. You don't have reserves, and you come across another gun on the ground that looks like it's loaded already. You drop your previous weapon, pick this one up, and try to engage in combat again. Only this gun's ammo is depleted as well come to find out, and you get shot trying to engage in combat because you have a gun with no ammo.
Now, was the decision to pursue the 2nd gun a bad decision because you got shot with the 2nd gun and got kills with the first gun?
And let me say, I'm a big CPM fan and have never once called for his resignation or firing (check my history, it's not long) because he's one of the best in the biz. I'm simply saying that line of thinking isn't healthy. Just because the replacement didn't work out doesn't mean getting rid of the previous one was a wrong decision.

Well we havent gotten to that point in Omaha since 09 so your theory is wrong. 2 and bbq isnt due to lack of pitching

I wish I had four hands...so I could give you 4 thumbs up!
I'm not calling for PM to be fired at all, but the logic of keeping a good Coach for fear of not hiring a better Coach says, I'm AFRAID to take the risks that are required TO ACHIEVE GREATNESS!

Never argued with that my issue is we don't get to Omaha and when we do it's 2 and q or we win one game. Should have a better showing.
