SEC play with Mulkey

How many years realistically will it be until Mulkey has us playing at high level with South Carolina and MSU in SEC play? I say 3-5

basketball, mens or womens, takes 1 great player, maybe 2, to make a difference in 1 year. not saying it will be 1 year, but all she needs is a great one or 2. now, after that, stock piling talent might be 3-5 years.

I don’t think people realize how poor this roster is talent wise. We lose Pointer next year. She’s gonna have to hit the portal hard and on the recruiting trail to flip this roster around.
Only thing that sucks is hiring this late is a lot of good players already transferred. Only legit transfer I know right now is Cardoso out of Syracuse. That isn’t to say more won’t pop up, a lot changes quickly

South Carolina is the only major obstacle. Mississippi State has fallen apart after their coach left for Texas before last year. They didn't even make the NCAA tournament this past year.
The rest of the league is up for grabs. Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee are pretty good, but not elite. Texas A&M is always strong but they lose a lot from this past year and Gary Blair isn't going to coach forever. He doesn't have many years left. He is damned near 75.
Hopefully within 2-3 years, you will start seeing some epic Mulkey v. Staley matchups.
