So I'm a 5th year senior who will be graduating in 2017. I've been donating slowly but steadily during my time in school to try and maximize my chances at getting any kind of season ticket in baseball and football which are obviously highly competitive and the sooner i started building that up, the better. So before you all laugh me out of the room, my priority points should sit at around 26.77 by the time I graduate. Will this get me any kind of season tickets in either of those sports (as best as you can guess because obviously the numbers fluctuate)? My biggest concern right now is getting in the door and then once I'm more established financially stepping it up from there to get better tickets as I get older. Any advice or comments would help. (Well I say any, but I know how the rant can be lol)

I would think you will have a better shot at football than baseball, but if you don't get either, you can usually get them in the ticket exchange for cost + Taf fees from someone else

Well either way, I'm getting tickets. It's just do I have to scalp them/stub hub or can I save myself the trouble. But thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check that out if I don't get them. And I figured that football would be easier simply for the volume of tickets available to be sold.

Hit that 100 every year is your best bet

some say you need to hit big donation once when you can to get over the hump. I didn't have to do that

I think philanthropic points get you in the door. I am 28.18 priority and 26.62 phil and have season tickets.

I would love to sell mine at cost- it really hurts the marketability when you cherry pick one of the best games every year though lol

Money talks to TAF. The more you give the sooner ye shall receive.

Ahh, I remember back when I thought my donations made a difference. Youth is wasted on the young.

So you're telling me my ranking doesn't matter when it comes to getting season tickets or not? Is that really what you're saying?

The athletic dept. has set aside tickets for new/recent grads....check with them, NOT the "experts" here !

Your ranking can't hurt. You were smart to do the collegiate TAF deal. I did it as well. It was the easiest points I ever got. Cheapest anyway.
It all depends on how many tickets are available when you apply. Good luck.
I have 4 season tix and will very likely put 2 on the ticket exchange in August.

It may help you get in the door but you'll never be able to upgrade without substantial non-ticket donations. Think about it. Everyone with better tickets than you is donating more yearly than you for their tickets so they'll continue to separate from you unless you make non-ticket donations to try to catch up. And at that point you're competing with business/other people that are trying to catch up. Good luck with that.

Or you could use season ticket money to buy tickets per game. You'll come out cheaper and sit in on average better seats than your "in the door" TAF seats. LSU cares about big money donors. Not small money like you (or me).

I have 2 season tickets. I sell them yearly for what they cost me and I go to every game I want to for about half the cost. If I ever can't sell them for my total cost, I'll drop them.

And don't think your TAF ranking will help you with away/bowl game tickets. If you have enough points to get a ticket through LSU, it's a crappy game that you could get better tickets for for less money than what you'll get for LSU (getting stuck in some upper deck corner somewhere).

Yes women's basketball will take your money all year long.
