Not a done deal but he’s very interested according to my source. Mulkey has Scott’s ear.

Big 12 is not as attractive anymore with Oklahoma and Texas leaving.

My sauce is usually sport on

There's also a history of doing wonders with a heavily sanctioned program. I don't expect LSU to receive Baylor type sanctions, which would make the job that more attractive.

LSU is fighting 3 or 4 of the allegations. Firing Wade before the tournament and hiring a new AD and President helps. 2 year post season ban max. May get 1 year because Woodward is great at his job.

What about them? As long as they’re (Woodward, Tate, and the new HC) are on the same page about the expectations given the situation with restrictions and how to move forward from them, then who cares about sanctions? Is the coach going to be paid less or something if sanctions are in place that I’m not aware of?

ETA: and Woodward and Tate both seem phenomenal at communication their vision and expectations, so I don’t see the issue. It would be one thing if they were snake pricks like Alleva and King, but they’re not. Sanctions are way less of an issue than the average ranter seeks to think

I’m on board but it’s hard to believe Drew would leave Baylor after almost 20 years at the helm.

Dr Tate and Scott have the same vision. Both are no nonsense guys too.

Don’t worry about sanctions. Program will struggle for a few years but with the transfer portal the rebuild could happen overnight as long as you have the right coach leading the program. Reason why Drew is the #1 target as he’s been through this before.

Also hearing that in conjunction with the announcement of the new hire there may be an announcement about facility upgrades. Not sure if that means plans for a new arena or just a remodel of the PMAC

Drew might save some of this incoming recruiting class.

Will the "never satisfied" portion of the fan base be happy with a .643 coach with only two Big-12 Championships and only one Final Four in 20 years? They'll fap at the hire and then at the first loss call Woodward a failed POS AD. Bank on it.
