USC scored 21 and A&M scored 19.

One TD each in garbage time. 14 and 12 respectively when it mattered.

When it mattered? THE WHOLE GAME MATTERS! I think a big difference btw Miles and Saban, is that Saban doesn't believe it's OK to get down early before mounting a comeback and BARELY squeaking out a W. Voters who see the final score and for the team heading into the next week of practice - the WHOLE game matters.

The defense can either smother the opposition or give them life at the end of a game. You look at the last 3 minutes of both the USC and A&M games. An onside kick and lateral packed last play. If either of those actually work(and I've seen crazier stuff happen) then as an LSU fan you're looking at it and

That being said, I think LSU's defense has been stout, with the exception of the UF game. BUT HOW MUCH CAN YOU EXPECT OUT OF YOUR DEFENSE WHEN THEY ARE ON THE FIELD FOR 37 MINUTES?!

I agree with those who said we would be lucky to score 10 pts

Eyy buddy I got a better idea: Why don't you get your head out your colon and realize Saban did more for the LSU Football program than anyone you can name. Not real big on how he left, but as far as pulling the program out the slums it was in after the Dinardo era - try to name someone who has had a bigger impact in the past 30 years.

Karle with his gay fricking glasses is the biggest Saban arse kisser I know, Jim Dunaway is probably the best we have up here, Rachel Baribeau thinks she is an O-T 10, and Kevin Scarbinksy makes Glenn Guilbeau look like Bob Ryan.

They played about as bad as they have ever played in the Les Miles era against Alabama in the Superdome (if you don't count the Monday night affair againt Tennessee), and the score was 21-0.

They will do a bit more than zip, but Alabama is not gonna do much better than 21.

The 23-3 predictions seem to be reasonable.

i think they have the advatage on us in passing game.QB. WR and OL. ON Defense it is toss up both equally good.
we both have good running backs but we have had problem running on bama in the past and with running on anybody in red zone. Look for them to stack the box and say beat us through the air casue we will stuff your runnning game. so i say bama 21 Lsu 13 in a close one.

Bump for clarification on the accuracy of the OP statement. Did this actually take place?

If they score 42 on this defense I will be floored. Call me skeptical.

It won't be against the LSU D this happens. The offense is quite capable of make these kinds of mistakes that will give BAMA points. In second half when the D is tired is when BAMA will get more points. I like this LSU D alot, but they are young and thin with the injury bug hitting this team. McCarron is capable of burning LSU for a score or two.
