Look guy...first of all, Mike is just saying he's in danger of being ineligible. Nothing has happened yet. Mike is just saving himself some scrutiny by adding in "in serious danger." Secondly, as someone has already stated, this happens everywhere. We aren't nearly as bad as a lot of the other schools. But you only care about LSU? That's fine, great. But just know it could be worse. Stop expecting 18-21 yr old kids to be perfect. Things happen. Sure it sucks, but get over it. Step back from the ledge or step off of it...I don't care.

I'm starting to think you are a troll...and if so, props because you sure do rile up the fans here.

We'll be fine. But in this day of technology, I can't even begin to imagine not having a system where scholarship player's grade and attendance aren't reported real time to the appropriate supervisors of the sport of the athelete.
And spare me the "we can't be responsible for everything" etc etc
In the big sports, we have a ton of money and time invested in these atheletes.

Heard about this a few weeks ago.

If it's the same issue, then there is nothing to worry about.

If you don't have any academic issues, your probably not above board from a NCAA compliance standpoint. There's no way a university can have all athletes meeting academic standards, that doesn't fit in with your normal student population. You can have all the support system in place but you can't make that person prioritize academics anymore than any student at LSU.

Yeah seems like parroting old info. IMO if there was a very serious threat of him being ineligible for the fall the coaches would have him in study hall rather than spring practice. Now might he have a C when he needs a B and the coaches are running him with the 2nd string because of that? Very possible.

Typical Lsu offseason. Its almost laughable and they reason we haven't won a NC since 07

You really are a dumbass. This is nothing new to the Rant, but I just thought I would reiterate how dumb you are.

What exactly happened in the 2011 offseason that COST us the National Championship?

How about 2013?

One can make an argument that 2012 was not great because we lost Tyrann Mathieu, but your comment is beyond stupid.

I'm pretty sure he just needs a c average(2.0) to stay eligible. And then every semester after that until his average is there

Hanigriff & Ponamsky talking about this now.

Per Ponamsky, after making a few calls, Robinson is not currently ineligible for the fall.

You can lead a horse to the water, but you can't force it to drink. If it's academic, there's ample help available if they care enough to seek it. Hope this gets cleared up.

I have a question and I didn't want to start a new thread. I searched, but I couldn't find any definite reasons.

Micah Eugene was at my work yesterday decked out in his SLU gear. I know that he was "dismissed" from the team, but no articles state why. Do any of you guys know why?

Fwiw, he was thugged out, and IMO, dumb as a bag of rocks. And I was shocked at how small he is, height wise.

If this is some super secret, forgive me for asking.

He wasn't "dismissed". Nice profiling though, a-hole.

Google Micah Eugene, a-hole. Every article says that he was dismissed.

Jesus. I just asked a question.

Just one link for you

And another

Fair enough, thought he was just transferring.

You're still a douche for calling him thugged out (whatever that means) especially since you know nothing about his dismissal. Something tells me you don't know what a thug is.

I've worked with athletes for over 15 years. In my current job, I deal with LSU, SLU, Southern, and high school athletes every day. I know damn well what a thug is.

But continue to bitch at me for making assumptions, while you sit on your high horse and do the same.

Fwiw, he even said that he was "kicked off". We didn't ask any other questions.
