The passion and fire that this woman displays for the University is unmatched. Just watching her walk through the smoke and onto the PMAC floor tonight, you can see that she truly loves this University, this city, and the sport of Gymnastics.

A couple of years ago after the disaster that took place in the National Semifinals, it could have been a long rebuild, but D.D., Jay, Bob, and Ashleigh have done a tremendous job coaching these young ladies up. I know D.D. lacks a SEC Tournament title/ National title, but look where this program is currently. Oklahoma has a monster team, but if we are on, I think we can compete!

Today's atmosphere was absolutely amazing and from the student section, to the band, to the insane fights over Chick-fil-A cows, D.D. has made gymnastics at LSU a spectacle. Kudos to LSU Athletics for enhancing the experience because in less than two hours per meet, you can can see one of the best events in Baton Rouge.

Today's regular season championship is great for the team, but the real challenge will be in a few weeks at the SEC Tournament Meet in Jacksonville. Florida will certainly be better and home cooking is quite real. Alabama usually finds a way to come out of nowhere and be close until the last performance.

I, personally, knew nothing about gymnastics until a few years ago and now I am hooked. Extremely proud of the team, the unbelievable support from the community, and the head coach who truly bleeds purple and gold. I know there is alot to go, but there are many coaches around the country who can learn from D.D. and I am thankful to be able to see this team where those LSU letters week in and week out.

The Lady Tigers earned the SEC Championship title in 1981 and 2017.

36 YEARS in between SEC TITLES????

I know yall over-hyping her because LSU sports suck right now!

Let's talk about character. A pastor once told me to watch people around their own property and see if they walk by trash, do they pick it up or leave it. A simple test, right.
About 8 years ago I was walking around outside tiger stadium going to my seats and of course there is trash everywhere. An older lady stopped by and empty cup, picked it up and walked about ten steps and through it in a trash can. I was impressed.
I told her "that's impressive." She turned to me and it was D.D. Breaux. I said that is "really impressive."

When I first came to LSU as a student in 2001 I was so excited to go to my first college gymnastics meets. I can promise you there was only around 1-2 thousand people there. Only one side of the lower section was saved for season ticket holders. There was one section for the students and the rest was open seating. Now there are always 10,000+ in attendance and open seating is only in the upper corner sections! It is just insane how much the sport has grown. I don't go to all the meets now because of how packed they are. I was spoiled being able to park right at the stadium and show up 10 minutes before the meet and sit anywhere I wanted.
