Saban hasn't lost in consecutive seasons to the same QB since he was at Michigan State

LSU's Jayden Daniels trying to become 1st starting QB to beat Nick Saban in consecutive seasons since Purdue’s Drew Brees in 1998-99 when Saban was at Michigan State. Saban has never lost consecutive seasons to same QB at Alabama

That is pretty wild.

It's also incorrect. Rex Grossman in 2000 and 2001 beat the hell out of us. Best game of his career was in Baton Rouge in 01

Didn’t Jordan Jefferson beat him in 2010 and 2011?

I can’t remember if he started the game in 2010 but I know he played.

While that is technically correct because Jarret Lee started the 2011 game, Jordan Jefferson was the QB responsible for winning the 2010 and 2011 games.

JJ9 begs to differ. He did not start in 2011 but was the one that beat him.

Jefferson wasn't the starting QB in 2011

Not only is he wrong about Rex Grossman but he worded his sentiments poorly anyway.

He could have said something more like "Since arriving at Alabama, no QBs have started and led their teams to victories in consecutive seasons over a Nick Saban coached team"

JJ was the starter until the brawl and started games after...for all intents and purposes he was the starting QB. I just think it was poorly worded for what he was trying to say.

That’s right. The off the field issue prior to the opening game. I had the years mixed up

He accounted for 110 yards of offense. 67 in the air and 43 on the ground. He didn't beat shite. We kicked 3 FGs that day and only one came from an offensive drive. (one was in OT when we didn't need to drive and the other was from an int that gave us the ball at their 15. Our Defense won that game and the only person on the offense that looked decent was Michael Ford.

Both QBs played in both games

Lee came in on last drive in '10 and completed a long pass to Rueben Randle for a clinching 1st down on 3rd and long

I'm certain we would have lost that game without that completion.

And I don't say this to shine light on Lee over Jefferson, b/c Jefferson gave us a better chance to win both years, given our head coach and his limitations

If Russell Sheppard doesn't already think he's in the end zone when he catches the ball, he also throws for a touchdown.

He put up zero turnovers and had to save the game after Lee shite his pants with 2 picks. JJ is the reason we won that game. We lose if Lee stays in and there's no alternative.

So I guess that means that Saban lost to BOTH Lee and Jefferson in consecutive years since both played.

Effectively, yes. Lee started the 2011 game and was scared shitless. Without Jefferson, LSU doesn't win that game.

So while technically Jefferson didn't start, he is the QB that beat Alabama in back to back seasons.
