Could Bama fans be getting bored with all this winning?

The difference is Bama fans will respond in a positive way and take what Saban said to heart. LSU fans concider it an insult and an invasion of their privacy if someone tells them to stay the whole game.

Do you really blame them for wanting to leave all the time? They play nobody

This.

They will stay for the LSU game, although that game no longer matters for them either.

I don't blame Bama fans for being bored with the regular season. They really don't have to accomplish much in order to be elevated to the NCG.

Taking what a football coach says to heart is kinda screwed up wouldn't you think?

It is not the coaches place to worry about it, he is an employee, he needs to march when told to march, and field a team that the university can be proud of and represent the program.

There's a couple things at Bama that I see. One is when the new upper deck was built on the south end it was blocked off for some student seating. We have like 7K down by the field and another 2K in the upper deck or something. ALL of the students move to the lower bowl seats and just sit in the aisles or 20 to a row vs 15, etc. It looks like 1/3 of the upper deck is empty. Fans have been clamoring for us to open up the upper seats for Tide Pride since they will use them.

2nd, if it was a one point game or whatever that's one thing. I'll admit, I left with 8 minutes to go in the Ole Miss game and at the start of the 4th with Arkie. Night games have become a problem. Hardly anybody that goes lives in Tuscaloosa and I have a little 3 year old girl that doesn't have a ticket and her mother and I try to get back as fast as we can. If it's a 2:30 game it's a little different but a 6 PM game I'm luck to get home at 1 or 2 if I stay the whole game. Had Arky been 21-20 in the 4th I'm sure we'd have stayed. I don't know any fanbase that would have stayed the entire game of the Ole Miss or Arky games with the scores as they were but whatever. People buy tickets and they can do with them what they will.

I'm with him. They remind me of our regular LSU fans. Bama doesn't play anybody, but that is no excuse. If any fan don't want to watch the whole game, he should drop his season tickets!!!

Expanding the schedule did nothing but add crap teams for additional home games. Increased ticket sales but really is a downer for fan interest.

This was the case before this year. Now, you cannot get to the lower bowl unless you have a certain number of hours. SO basically, all freshmen are in the upper deck and they can't get in the gates that access the lower bowl. That has helped it appear full, at least at the beginning of the games.

Attendance and fan engagement at the games in general is a nation wide problem.

You think if anyone Alabama would be immune but in a way the success has lead many of the fans to see the games as boring.

Fans only "get up" for the big rivalry games (Auburn, LSU) or the championship games (SEC, BCS).

The rest of the games are seen as filler and it's unfortunate.

Spoiled fanbase has quickly forgotten the Shula era.

Out of those non conference, only Tulane was a true rent a win.
That was the only win LSU had over Tulane in 4 years. Tulane won in 1979, '81 and '82, which would be their final win over LSU. I still remember Buddy D yukking it up in that stupid Russian hat. It is a mark of Tulane's irrelevance these days that there are no Tulane homers here to remind you of this.

Sabans typical guilt griping to get people to do something that will ultimately benefit him.

how about play stiffer competition so the outcome is not obvious by halftime.

one reason to hate Saban even more. Calm down you are blowing out a team who cares if your fans leave early. People are there to support your team when they see that the game looks like its over go home and do other things.

note: is he inspired by this place?

Love college football but sorry just way to many bowl games of no signicance and no interest. I don't think the rent a win is helping either, games like these take a lot of the competivie nature out of the game. Tv has messed up the college football experience for the fans, buy ticket and don't know when the game is even going to start. Think going to be great night game under the lights and cool temp and you have Tv put the game on during the day in the sun and heat. College football at the mercy of the tv broacasters cause they pay the big bucks for the rights to the game. Surprised that the colleges don't just say no, the broadcaster would still pay for the rights to broadcast, what else do they have to offer with that amount of viewers.

Lol. I was at the last seccg and we were extremely outnumbered. LSU fans price gauging other LSU fans or selling to uga. Our fan base is a phucking joke.
