I think we all realize that police in this state are trained to know what all Alabama players look like, and they are trained to always ask if a suspect plays football for Alabama.

Let it be a lesson. It is okay for any college football player to be in possession of illegal drugs, stolen weapons in an area that is closed to the public. In Louisiana and not be held accountable. Why? Because they have more At stake than the rest of us. Thank you for the precedent Mr. DA

District attorney Jerry Jones decided against prosecuting the players, dropping the charges. His reasoning behind the move drew criticism nationally.
"I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I'm doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and their teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all home in the air conditioning," Jones told KNOE-TV.
