I still believe had he not been a bonehead, LSU would have never been talked about every year as having QB problems.

Seriously in 2008 3 of our 5 losses would have been wins with better QB play. In 2009 we would have been undefeated going into the SECCG.

Then in 2010 you would have had Lee or JJ as a redshirt junior/sophomore who learned behind a top QB for 2 years.

Will the pendulum finally swing back in the P&G's favor starting this year??? Let's all hope so.

Meh, it would have for sure made a difference in 2008 and 2009. The argument after that I think really should become that if LSU had sustained that success of 2005-2007 for another 2 years, does Les never experience a dip in QB recruiting (and really, he has been a strong recruiter all along)?

If you are assuming LSU gets the same players/coaches after Perrilloux, I think 2012 and 2014 seasons are still sore spots just because of the inexperience on offense. 2010 is the real head scratcher of the group. LSU has TWO Qbs with starting experience, a decent run game, an elite defense, and somehow still managed to be absolutely awful in the passing game.

In 2008 our defense was a disaster too, though. Looking back it's impressive that team went 8-5 with how poor the quarterback play and defensive coaching were.

RP was an all time great in LA highschool football
He played for a powerhouse college team
He got a college degree
He played as an NFL QB
He has a job coaching football
He now has a chance to mentor kids using life lessons

Could have been A LOT worse and isn't a bad story

One day I hope he can teach my kid how to read a defense and pick up white girls.

Did I miss something? I don't remember this. However I feel he was way overhyped and was not what he could have been. Miles gave him a ton of chances and he still continued to fail the school. I believe that the 2008 season was not very good because Miles lost the team. just my opinion. But good for him for where he is at now. It could have been a lot worse.

The option plays with Perrilloux, Keiland Williams, and Holiday were a thing of beauty. 07 Florida game comes to mind.

I'm sure it's been discussed many times previously, but how many LSU players have national championship and super bowl rings?
