But is that really the issue? Yeah...the helmets collided a fraction of a second before...but Clark was clearly leading with his right shoulder. In fact, he basically turned his body and came at him at a slight angle. What he did not do is lower his head and lead with the crown of his helmet... Plus, WM seemed to drop his head into the contact at the last moment helping to cause the helmet to helmet collision.
Vicious hit for sure...but looked clean to me.

Maybe...but it sure didn't look like he was gunning for it with his own noggin. We've all seen guys leading with their head (hell, we've all seen LaRon do it a time or three) and this didn't look like that to me.

He led with his helmet, but tried to change up right before impact, hence the very late turning motion. The slow motion replay clearly shows him approaching McGehee with his head full extended and with his helmet initiating the contact.
Leading with the helmet with the resulting helmet to helmet contact will likely net him a fine, but since it wasn't intentional and he tried to change up it shouldn't net him a suspension.
Clark's technique on the tackle was crap and he's actually lucky he walked off the field and wasn't carted off as well.
Mcgehee's movements had nothing to do with the impact, because if he hadn't ducked his head he would have been hit in the jaw by Clark's helmet; would have been just as vicious if not more.

media would have made it a big deal if the hit was interpreted as dirty. Media did not try to bill it as such; case closed.

Helmet to helmet is often unavoidable when tackling a ball carrier and is not a penalty. It's a penalty on a defenseless player or the QB. Linemen bang helmets on almost every play.
It was a legal hit and I don't think there will be a fine. He turned and led with his right shoulder before the helmets clashed.

Correct. Given the injury that followed and the national stage that this hit took place on, the national media would be non-stop on this story this morning if they thought it was a bad hit.

He led with his shoulders, the helmet on helmet was just because they both were going so fast. Even the announcers were saying it was a legal hit.
