A couple of buddies and I are renting one and making the trip. Any idea of the closest/ most convenient RV park? The only one we found so far within a reasonable distance is closed due to a flood. Thanks in advance. Geaux Tigers

We parked at the casino/dog track in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 96, 97, 00, 02 & 03. It's about 5 minutes from Rosenblatt. I haven't been to the new stadium yet so I don't know if this is still convenient. We towed my Jeep and drove it back and forth.

The "Bluffs Run" RV Park at the Horseshoe Casino does not have full hookups. They do have a dump station but if we are there for 10 days or so we need to find a park with sewage hookups. Any more ideas?

If you want to travel faster and save a lot of money rent the RV as close to Omaha as you can.
Driving one from La will take a lot longer, you will spend a crap-load on fuel, you will pay a lot for the extra mileage, and after it's over, you will be the last ones to make it back to Louisiana.
Drive your car and rent the RV close but not too close and it will be much more enjoyable.
