Solution: Ensminger to admin position, Haley to LB coach, Coach O to dline and Clancy as DC, Miles coaches TEs maybe even Henry. Seems like a good move to me. Haley has LB coaching experience and even though he struggles closing on the absolute elite blue chips, he's still a solid recruiter.

Miles occupies himself with picking his ears on the sidelines so much at least he can do is devote himself to a position that needs it.

Shea that he knows someone close to Steele, he is happy at Alabama and has NOT been contacted by LSU despite rumor that Miles is having a sit down with him. Pendergrast is likely our DC and there is a huge push to get coach O on board as well... Finding Haley a job is the key This post was edited on 1/1 at 7:55 pm

Hoping this is true. Would rather take chance with the other choices over Steele.

just because we talk to him doesn't mean he is going to sign the contract

We shouldn't even talk to him.

He's that bad.

He hit a homerun with Chavis, and a Home run with Cam (I think anyway) I think it's reasonable to think that Miles will get a high level guy again. Instead of an unproven Steele. His on field decisions make him look horrible in everything else. But history shows he is great in bringing in good assistant coaches and in recruiting. I hear players usually love him but may not like his decisions.

I trust Les to make a solid hire. If we end up with Steele I'm done with him honestly.

Let's hope the sit down with Steele (if it is, or has, happened) is just covering bases. Maybe even leverage.

I do want to point one thing out considering there has been lots of loyalty talk centered around our staff over the last 48-72 hrs...

IF getting a Pendergast or equivalent (or Coach O) requires Brick going away Miles probably won't let him go until he knows he has another job, and then still buy out his contract (with agreement from Alleva). So even though he's known to be tight with Chavis, and many assumed he'd be going too he will still get very good treatment from LSU.

LSU should not allow Miles to hire any more of his buddies.

Steele is actually buddies with Chavis. Hopefully Miles is just bringing him the rest of the shite left over in Chavis' office....donuts, the "How To Coach For 58 Minutes" book, etc....so he can get it back to him and save us some money on shipping.
