I say yes.

I said from the beginning of the season, if LSU took 3-4 losses because they got rid of a team cancer it would be worth it.

I still stand by this.

how about you?

dumb idea. the lsu student population would probably drop by 25% if every student got kicked off for same reasons RP did.

Yes, I still stand behind Miles for that decision. He needed to go. It sucks that the whole team has to suffer for it, but it had to be done.

I'll chalk this up to sarcasm.

Yeh, but average everyday students don't make SportsCenter when they F up. RP was quickly becoming a very bad image for our program, like it or not. Losing games is one thing, but earning a reputation to the level of UThug or the U just to win games is another.

Hell yes.... Cancer to the team.

There were rumbles that it was already dividing the team with the mentality "why does he get off for dumb shite when I get in trouble, what makes him special"

Yes because you could not depend on him. What if you were preparing for Alabama last week and he did something to get in the Dog House then he would not have played anyway and he may have taken most of the snaps in practice. He should have been the leader of the team and set a good example for everyone to follow!!

Learned a long time ago that doing the right thing sometimes is painful. Thankful for Les doing the right thing for LSU.

I get that, but not every student is the starting quarterback for LSU.

That's a pretty big title, and along with it comes responsibility and leadership. Neither of which he possessed.

RP was selfish and naive to think he could do ANYTHING he wanted to.

What was the final straw for Ryan to get kicked off the team? What were Ryan's issues?

must not be too big of an issue where hes on scholarship at JSU. The NCAA must still be fine with all his infractions.

Not showing up for class and team meetings was a major problem...

One of my employees is a good friend of his and he even admitted that RP is an idiot. They tried to tell him, "just go to class, its not like you will fail anyways" but he wouldnt listen.

RP's issue began when he came on campus with the attitude that he was going to take over the starting job and win 4 heismans.

i wonder how many underage college students at LSU have gotten someone to buy them a drink or use someone else's id to get into a club.

kevin faulk was just recently caught with some weed on him. anybody on the PAT's team or anyone on here thinks hes a cancer?

if RP was positive for Drugs of Abuse, would the NCAA still allow him to be under scholarship at JSU?

Depends. If you look at it as a win at all costs, then yes, we should have kept him here, but I think he needed to go, as all of the locker room issues this would have brought up. Let's say god forbid we kept RP and then he got hurt, we would be in the same predictament. The key is we should have recruited more qb's. I think Lee will eventually be good. Hatch, to me isn't an SEC qb. If he were, we would have recruited him out of hs. At this point, he is better than Lee. JJ I think we be great, but isn't given a chance.
