that is why he was kicked off.

Like I said "a good choice".
But the thought still lingers. RP was a better QB. I think he could have secured at least 2 more wins both last year and this year. Though his antics may have cost us even more. A good choice to remove him but a compromise it was nonetheless.

and.........what if rp doesn't get kicked off and lsu wins 08 nc and then has it taken away b/c miles let rp play when he knew the kid had done a bad thing?

or rp get kicked off the team 5 games into the season and the season is ruined b/c the hatch/lee backups are unprepared.

or rp plays 08 and 09 and then gets found guilty and lsu gets death penalty???

the ranturds would love to take that chance.
and the boo-gers would have loved that b/c that would have gotten rid of miles and that would prove them soooooo right.

the ranturds have proven that their negative ways are to destroy lsu football.
they prove again and again that they have NO INTEGRITY.

Ryan Perrilloux had the potential to be an all-american qb. I'm not saying he is better than Peterson but he could have been great at lsu.

True.

People love to forget Les' genius of recruiting Perrilloux in 2005.

Ignoring it in 2006, which is what left us in a whole.

Bringing in Hatch (no shot at being a good QB in the SEC) and one legit QB in Lee in 2007.

Then people wonder why LSU got put in a horrible situation. You should always have 1 QB per class, unless you get 2 QBs like Russell and Flynn. We lucked out that Flynn didn't transfer after 2005.

You can't bank 2 entire seasons on 1 player as a coach. To do that is utterly stupid.

It also goes into the issues with our DL. We kept signing DL, especially DT that got switched to offense and now we are extremely thin at DT. Genius!!

Look guys. My brother in law is pretty high up in the BRPD. There are things perrilloux did that no one knows about. Stuff that was sweped under the rug. Pretty BAD shite.

Come on and spill it. What's so bad that you can't even so much as hint what RP did?

Everyone seems to have a story about something RP did, but they never seem to elaborate on the details, just that "something happened."

Actually I was referring to the fact that Randy Moss went to FSU. He was booted from the team and THEN went to Marshall. Do you know how bad you have to frick up for Bobby Bowden to kick you off the team? Anyway he went to Marshall and now is considered a top 5 all time receiver. Kids frick up, shite happens.
FUNNY!!! HOw the RETard neve3r answered THIS!!!!!! JMO!!!

It really grates me when people say that miles didn't recruit another high profile quarterback after RP so that we could be "loaded". In fact Miles had an elite 11 quarterback on the roster behind RP the year we won thr NC. Unfortunately that elite 11 QB likes to throw to the defense as much as the offense. Miles didn't know that at the time this highly touted high school QB was being recruited by LSU and many other D1 schools.

RP is a legend.

Started 2 whole games.

Now he gets to take the blame for 2 years of crappy coaching.

LSU returns a 2 game starter that had been rumored to get kicked off the team for a year and finally does. LSU had no clue the 2 game wonder was a bad seed and had to continually be disciplined. So dumb dumb Miles didn't prepare a backup plan for when he kicked RP off the team. That's so unlike him to be unprepared.

the RP effect

I watched the 2007 SEC championship game early this morning just to get another look at what we were then.

RP was light years a head of where JJ is now. I think that says alot about our coaching verses the athlete just not getting it. I also noticed that minus Dorsey the D-line was a shadow of its self even with the great Bo Pelini as DC.

Yeah GC still called some WTF plays but our offensive players were good enough to over come and execute the plays.

NOT to be a DICK, But This just goes to show how good a recruiter LES is, THINK ABOUT IT!!!

You think about it...dick. Perriloux would have been a senior and probable a Heisman candidate. Jarret Lee and Jordan Jefferson would have been capable back ups with two years to master the system for when the finger pointed their way. Our qb progression whould have been perfectly on schedule.

BTW I don't think RP was all that and a bag of chips. IMO!!!!

You're entitled to your opinion but he (talent wise) was as good as anything playing in the $EC this year or last. He was erect in the pocket...had quick feet...had a quick release with accuracy......and a great feel for the game. His leadership skills could be questioned but if he could have just turned that corner from kid to man we wouldn't be having these pro-Miles/anti Miles conversations.

Yes and one of those was one of the most important games in this decade as it got into another BCS title game.

If you don't understand the blow a program takes when it loses the only experienced QB on its team and one groomed(playing time and practice time) for 2+ yrs to take over, you need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Don't like LSU or don't like Miles or whatever, but at least be reasonable in your logic.

Yes he was. I always wonder what the last two years would look like if he was here.
