Not really, simply pointing out that going batshit when you're up by 40 isn't as big of a factor as many here love to claim, given how slow Bama started yesterday.

What I watched last night gave me a lot of optimism for this team. The play calling the first half was the best I've seen watching LSU in a long time and seeing how well Etling handled it, I think it will only get better.
I don't blame the second half on coaching at all. The play calling got a bit more conservative but we had a pretty good lead on them and it appeared that we were going to totally dominate that team. Some things just fell their way during the second half that let them get back in the game.
This team can beat any team in the SEC if they play like they did in the first half for a complete game. This gives me hope.

Good post. Also, on those first 4 possessions, we started at our own 13, 29, 7 and 1. On that 4th possession, we started at our 1 and drove 65 yards before that "fumble". The drive from the 29, set up by a good Guice return, drove 22 yards into State territory before ending with a fumble. I wish we had pulled away in the 2nd half, but I'm encouraged by what we're seeing. If anything...and I can't believe I'm saying this...I wish we had been just a bit more conservative at times in the second half.
