Interesting.

I wonder if anyone has anyone ever measured taller at the combine than their college had them listed..

why are people so hung up on this?

every school give extra inches and pounds to their player, from elementary on up

this isn't some grand revelation all of a sudden

The heights are pretty damn close (looks like everyone lost an inch — could be embellished an inch or with/without shoes) and most players shed a couple pounds before the combine for the 40.

No one is hung up on this.

Op is just showing the difference.

Everyone knows Michael Clayton didn’t run a 4.45 in high school at 6-5 or whatever rivals/scout said he was.

Probably a few running backs if I had to guess. Seems like 6’2 would be the cutoff for advantageous height so I could see a 6’3-6’4 running back being listed at 6’2

Yes, some guys have and will play at a heavier weight, but they lost a few pounds to try and drop a couple split seconds in the 40.

I know this thread is about football, but one roster height bump that got me was Andrew Del Piero. His junior year he was 7-2. Then he was bumped up to 7-3. I guess it’s possible he grew. If not, it was the most pointless bump ever. Why would you need to exaggerate at that point?
