Chris Low actually had a good link today. Had a quote from Miles in the Advocate saying Shepard and some of the newcomers will be trying out for the return game.

They need to have 3 PRs and 3 KRs, they could be duplicates.

Shepard as KR/PR just makes sense. If you're not going to play him at QB, get the ball in his hands every other way possible.

i remember a thread last year about trying shepard as a returner and everyone freaked out and said it was a stupid idea, i have a feeling the notion will be more well received this year

David and Richard don't take kindly for moving their newspaper to Shreveport!

+1 year in a college weight program
-1 Trindon Holliday

that alters the perception a bit. I think most people didn't like the idea of Shep returning kicks because they had the image of him getting driven into the ground against Vanderbilt in their minds.

no, it was before that play even happened, they feared it because they didn't want our "backup qb" to get hurt

Anyone who ever thought that Shep would pass up Lee on the depth chart before year two was smoking something.

I like the idea of Shepard as a return man...both last year and now. I never saw him as a true quarterback though. He is an athlete; let's get him the ball or at least make teams think about him on special teams.
