this isn't a good year for RBs and RBs are being devalued in the NFL

it wouldn't shock me to see the first back go in the 20s, and maybe only 2 in the first 50 (ingram, helu)

as long as a team can continue to ride a late rounder for a year or two, that aint gonna change.

Few people actually run sub 4.5 40's. 40 times are the most embellished stats there are. 4.6 isn't bad for a true NFL RB unless you don't have power.

Jesus, Ridley turned pro because he CAN'T improve his draft status. He's not all of a sudden going to run .2 seconds faster.

He's already had one major knee surgery. What's the point of coming back ? No, go pro...if you get drafted, great, if not sign with someone and hopefully catch on with that club the way a Pierre Thomas or Chris Ivory did.

is there a 2nd draft after the normal draft?

Yeah, over 4.7 has been the death knell for even LBers in the past. I can't imagine anyone is impressed enough to draft an RB with that time. Don't give me this stuff about vision either, it is assumed that all the RBs have the same intangibles. That is why they have the combine, to distinguish those with the actual physical skills to do the job.

Edit to clarify that I am not saying whether or not he will have a successful career, but that this number number would likely place him in the 6-7 or UDFA range. His second time was a little better. Hope he makes it, and has a good career.

Lagarrett Blount in last years combine measured 6'1 241 lbs and ran a 4.74 40. He rushed for 1,000 as a rookie. Not every running back has to run like Chris Johnson.

I'm not surprised at his 40 time at all. I still think he'll be drafted somewhere late in the draft. Ridley can easily make a team as a short yardage back. He runs too hard for a team not to gve him a chance.

Ridley couldn't get past SEC linebackers, no surprise here.

You are one hell of an idiot. Always blaming someone else. You must be a liberal. Go hug a fricking tree, you pansy.

Everyone should have seen this. Ridley just isn't fast. Ware and Ford looked much faster than him this past year and I doubt Ware runs under a 4.5.
