Obviously, let's wait & hope that we get the accurate and detailed account of this incident, but this is not a very good way for Rickey Jefferson to handle himself around authorities.
If there are other problems (for Rickey's sake and LSU's sake, we hope not of course!) is this the opportunity to sign Jeremy Cutrer, who according to another thread, has a chance to qualify academically and is retaking the test?

I love how any time cops get caught out abusing power or not following protocol they immediately go to the "we thought he had a gun", and most of the public just eats that shite up.

Meh. Doubt the kids in the Quarter could afford a defense attorney that won't clear his throat until he's got $100K retainer deposited.

There are a bunch of decisions Les has made that have been questioned and for the most part I have been able to see both sides. The decision to continue the connection to this family though is just piss poor. He should be shown the door now and open a slot for a player with a higher chance of actually making a full season without arrest.

Maybe we should wait and see how this plays out? What if they find out the cops were in the wrong and charges are dropped? But no, lets kill the kid now. He obviously is a criminal because he is black and his last name is Jefferson. Just maybe it was one of these… or not. But I'm willing to wait and see…

No need for this. I agree 100% that because this kid is Jordan's brother that many here don't want him, but this is not a race issue amongst the fan base. Many LSU fans are tired of the entire Jefferson family and the Les Miles love affair with them.
