This high school sophomore beat his school record. Kid weighs 186 and lifted 315. Heard he is willing to sign autographs if you are interested lol

Couldn't remember to save my life. Boo Boo was likely the strongest power cleaner of that group at 375-385. Of course andolsek years before that held the record at 445 for a long time. Big E was insane....saw him fricking rep 405 and it was staggeringly easy.

so is 315 good for a 200lb DB?

Did that my sophomore year in high school. I was 6'1 190lbs. The lift itself shows more than just strength!
However,I was more impressed with how hyped he was afterwards along with teamates!

Thanks. I did 285 back around 04-05 so it wasn't completely foreign to me but I was surprised that I could still get 275 10 years later

Absolutely

Eta: coaching is even more influential than raw power. The clean is hard technique, whereas bench press is more simplified with physics. I've seen guys clean 400+that would boggle the mind, but struggle with dead lifts, bench, etc.

I'm pretty confident when I say that most grown men can't bench, squat, or deadlift 250 lbs, much less be able to clean 250.

My powerlifting total is greater than 1,000 but I can't hit a 250 clean right now because my form sucks.

I'm also over 40 now.
