Pat Taylor before his death was worth 2-3 Billion with a B. His widow has sold Taylor energy and I would think is top of the list. She gives to the school not athletics.

I heard a rumor re: Shaq that he's never touched his NBA earnings. They've been in the bank his entire career, and he's lived his entire playing career based off of his endorsement deals only.
Dude's been paid way, way more than a quarter of a billion over the course of his career, and that's more than A-Rod's 10 year hum-dinger that sent the Rangers to the chopping block.
Now, imagine the interest if he's invested it conservatively, even after the downturn?
That's a ton of jack, right there, folks.

I really don't think it's Shaq. I remember reading that due to his house payments, home car and life insurance, and all the child support he pays, he blows through over $100,000 a month.

It's definitely not Shaq. But, honorable mention is likely the list he is on.

according to basketball-reference.com he is at 292 million after this year. from Basketball alone.
That doesn't include the money he made from his movies like shazaam or blue chips, or his rap albums

Gordon Cain was pretty stacked before he died. I would say at least a half billion.

I doubt it's Shaq either but he has to be top 5. Worth close to $1billion after endorsements.

There are several very wealthy alums that aren't on that list. I will not posts their names because I don't feel I should. They keep that info very hidden.

How rich are the Penningtons?
I don't think Doc Pennington went to LSU. I know he gave 150 million to LSU. Rumor has it he left 300 million to his wife and another 300 million to other family.
