Smitty, I have a damn strong want for you to shake the haters. Games are decided on gameday and players play during games. We've been through this before, in previous seasons.

so r u telling me that ford is better because he also played against walk ons

ford was better in high school and hasn't dissapointed for years like murphy has

murph has had MANY opportunities to show himself and he really hasn't done that in game

he's had years to show something and has had like 1, maybe 2 runs. 1 was when we were blowing out OSU

how can be dissapointing if u hadnt had a chance to start game. I DONT GIVE A frick ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL. im not saying ford wont be a great back. but until murphy gets a actual chance and shows he is not capable of playing very well, he or ridley should be the starter. but until then i dont here about how ford look in spring game or in high school becuz that dont mean shite until he play against some against bama.

SN: he has way more great runs and catches than u think

SloFlo, get some flowmax and let it go. You sir are a dark cloud on a beautiful day. It seems to me you just find a way to bring the negative out in anything. I bet you think the Saints got lucky last year. I bet you still buy gas from BP. You are probably a huge hit at parties

He does not have speed. He does not have break away speed to run away from a defense. In 2006 and 2007 Keiland Williams was our fastest back before Miles and the staff bulked him up. Just because a guy is smaller than the other running backs doesn't mean he is automatically faster than them. The only time Murphy runs away from a defense is when the defense is made up of walk-ons in a spring game. I thought Hester's speed and Scott-pre 2008's speed were also not far behind Murphy's speed if at all.

Dumb post.

Watch at 2:10.

Extremely stupid post. Murphy has always been faster than Hester & Scott. I think it would be a better idea for Murphy/Ridley to take 75% of carries and for Ford to take the other 25%.

I've always said, he should have played wide receiver because of his size (but, we have to much talent in that position). He'll be a nice addition to Ridley & Ford.

I enjoy using all three of them on NCAA 11.

You guys must be bored. All this bickering about who the starting RB will be is ridiculous. NEWS BULLETIN: it's not up to any of you!

This season is not about who will lead the team in rushing. It's about returning LSU back to elite status in college football. If T-Bob Hebert has to play RB in order for the Tigers to win 10 or 11 games, so be it.

Give T-Bob the ball!!!!!!!!

sloflo u need to either check ur vision or ur glasses becuz no one but u dont think murphy is fast. and i agree with murphy and ridley getting 75% of the carries but the the other 25 is gonna be split as well between RS AND MF

Richard Murphy

has a running style closer to someone like a Knowshon Moreno than any speed back. Most likely doesn't have the vision/patience of Moreno at this point, making the supposed "improvement" of the oline this year especially vital to Murphy's success.
