Rewatched the Bama game

Look, as good as the defense played in the first half, they were dreadful in the second half. Dreadful. Couldn’t get off the field on 3rd and 4th downs on multiple drives, allowed Najee Harris to run wild. . .
That last long pass to Devonta Smith was an absolutely inexcusable play given the circumstances. Thank God for Justin Jefferson snagging that onside kick or Dave Aranda might have single-handedly ruined a perfect season. Like the Texas game, his defense wasn’t stopping anyone at that point and everyone knew it.
Good luck to Coach Aranda at Baylor, but Bo Pelini will be an upgrade for this defense. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn’t been paying attention.

We beat Bama, we wont the west, we won the SEC, we demolished OU in the semis, we won the national championship, we went 15-0.
Who cares what we did against Bama in the 2nd half. They never had the ball with an opportunity to take the lead.

I’d lay off of Aranda. I seem to remember Kentucky and Arkansas scoring on Pelini’s D at will in 2007, LSU’s two overtime losses in that championship season. I attended the Kentucky game with my wife and kids...not fun.

Why don’t you concentrate on how much better the defense got after Bama and Ole Miss?
Also the injuries were piling up.I thought Aranda adjusted extremely well after those 2 games along with key players getting healthy. Greatest season ever and we still hear this bullshite. Grab a beer man.

The only second half play that I'm dismayed about was their last TD pass. That was inexcusable. Outside of that, I think that it was just a matter of Bama playing better in the second half, which you had to expect.
Also, Najee Harris is a GROWN arse MAN. For all of the hype about Tua and Joe, it was Harris and CEH who dictated how that game went, especially in the second half.
