Revised LSU losses prediction with Etling

I had us losing 4-6 games total after the Wiscy loss. I'm going to be cautiously optimistic and revise that to 3-4 total...Etling gives us a lot better chance against Arky and a little better against Ole Miss. Besides Wiscy I think we lose to Bama and either Ole Miss or TAmU. Florida QB is questionable (knee sprain), so I could see that going either way.
Still don't think we make Atlanta.

Depends on the rest of the conference. If LSU only loses 3 games that prob puts them second or 3rd in the sec, with a 6-2 record. They would get a better bowl invite with that scenario.
Prob Nola or Atlanta.

so you use 1 game to determine the outcome of 11 others?
ok cool.....I'll just watch the 1st game of all LSU's teams from here on out, tune in to TD, and wait for you post. That will save me a lot of time. Thanks guy

If the sec champion is in the playoffs, the runner up would be in the 6.

Lose 3. Same as I had before.

So you're saying LSU would be the runner up? How, if it has 2 Conf losses would it get to Alanta to lose and be runner up.

I'm trying to stay positive. I have more hope now with Etling under center, but Les Miles is still the coach, and he could mess up a wet dream. It does seem like both sides the ball are putting it together and I think our defense will keep us in every game. For now I say 2 more loses coming from Arky, A&M, Ole Miss, or Bama

Yeah I'm tetering on a 9 win season. Which would give you a 6-2 sec record. Just say they lose to bama and Arkansas again.

Well it depends on rest of conference.
Bama goes undefeated. So LSU with 6-2 record could be 2nd in the West. It just then depends on the east team, do they finish with 3 sec losses? We have seen in the past the loser of the seccg get snubbed.
The runner up isn't always the two teams in the seccg.
Look at 2011. Was UGA the second best team in the sec or was bama?
Maybe runner up was the wrong term to use. But the 2nd place team, going by record, usually gets the sugar bowl invite when the champion was playing in the title game.
All I am saying is a 6-2 record would get you better than the Texas bowl.

not going to offer a prediction but these predictions usually go the same way for LSU fans...
National championship expectations, then we have a poor showing and the sky is falling may not win an SEC game, then things arent so bleak and everyone settles in the middle...

Two losses would be the best we could hope for....probably going to be 3-4 more losses. I hate to say it but if we can get a Tom Herman, Jimbo Fisher, or yes, even Bobby Petrino if we have a bad season I'm hoping for at least 5 losses.
