Top 8 just about guaranteed; would be without a shadow of a doubt with a win tomorrow.

These two are probably going to need to throw 110+ pitches in their postseason outings if we want to win it all - do you give them the SECt off?

No you don’t. You keep them in their routine. You ask any pitcher and they would say the same thing. No you don’t pitch them 110 pitches but you don’t sit them.

No but don’t go overboard extending them

Have to keep them on schedule, or somewhat close to it

If you play on Friday and Saturday let the pitch but maximum of 70 pitches each. Keep their arms warm but DO NOT extend them

Coleman should take the week off.

Pitch whoever. Winning this series locks in a top 8 seed 1000%

Hoover doesn't matter at all. Just go have fun and don't put any excess stress on your horses but keep them in their groove

Found the idiot.

It'd be worse to give them a week off.

This.

Let them pitch their usual day but pull them around 70-80 pitches.
Doesn’t matter if we win a game in Hoover, and it’s good innings for guys that need it.

I mean, winning the sec tournament is nothing to sneeze at. Hell, go try to win it and play normal. Skenes and Floyd throw 100 pitches without even getting tired . It’s not a big risk

I was at one time hopeful to let Skenes sit this Georgia series out and then knock the rust off in Hoover. Now I think you’ve got to let him go.

At least 50-60 pitches.

Anyone on here that claims to be sure of one way or the other is the correct answer is ignorant. It's impossible for any of us to know if these guys would be better suited with a week off vs staying in a routine. We can only guess and hope that Wes knows best.

Eta: losing last weekend made it pretty difficult. Georgia would've been the week to rest them but we lost that luxury

You don't give them the week completely off. I could see keeping their pitch count lower than a typical outing but to have them not pitch at all is just silly. You don't want them going into the postseason not having pitched for 2 whole weeks.

You don’t sit Coleman either they are still trying to extend him to be the third starter.

Blake Money - Wed
Paul Skenes - Thurs
Ty Floyd - Saturday
Javen - Sunday

Obviously provided if you win in these scenarios before each game next up.

I’d at least go Money and Coleman in the first 2 games. Only throw the top guys if we start 2-0; then try to win it.

They definitely need to pitch just to stay in rhythm
I agree no need to go over 70-75 pitches especially with both 100+ this week
