If it's not free...screw it! I'm tired of money going to the SEC HQ so they can use it to screw us.

The CBS contract has already destroyed Saturday night games and what do we get?...changes to the schedule to benefit the home schools in the state of Gump.

I'd pay for a "LSU Network" if all the money went to the Tigers but the folks in Birmingham can kiss my arse!

Okay...I've had my daily dose of hating the folks in Gumpville. Time to go be productive.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to do this. Some of us actually appreciate it.

I just called Cox Cable in New Orleans and the representative says that Cox Cable will carry it starting in August.

I've got DirecTV and so far they don't have it, in spite of my written request!

Anyone know if the SECN will be available through the WatchESPN app if you subscribe via your cable provider?

TWC doesn't frick around though...

I've called them twice threatening to leave and take a better deal or more options from a different provider thinking they would cut me a deal; both times they've said ok good luck. They also had an automated response when they were fighting with CBS saying if you are calling to complain they are not receiving those calls but would be happy to connect you to a different cable provider if you had to have CBS. This was followed by names and numbers of other cable providers...

Basically they DGAF about you threatening to leave, at least not in Dallas. Makes me respect them honestly

It'll be just like the Longhorn and B1G networks. Part of the premium sports tier (typically ~$10/month for those channels and all the Fox Sports channels)

Yea.. I'm not so sure this is true. Link? I don't know for certain but I think part of the deal with these providers was that the SECN had to be apart of a basic programming package like ESPN and ESPN2.

ETA: SECN will be a national network, not a regional sports network. This link below explains a lot and shows how this network will completely change the game, as one poster alluded to earlier
Great read

The SEC network is about to completely change the landscape of college football IMO. The SEC is about to go from the most prestigious and respected football league to by far the richest collegiate sports league in America...and there won't even be a close 2nd. You'll have sec schools pulling in $40+ million per year in TV money with the next best conference not even cracking $30mil per year.

How does each university get to spend this money?
Strictly at the Athletic Department's discretion? Or is some already earmarked?

Directv said they appreciated my concerns and thanked me for contacting them. That must mean they will jump right on it!
