The guy is a good guy, give him a break.

Why? He spent all that time trying to appear objective about Lee, but taking shot after shot at him...."ball was not thrown well"..etc...when the BALL hits the guy 20 yards downfield in the facemask.....give me a fricking break...anyone with even half a brain (I know that is hard to find on here) saw right through the guy and his "objective" post. It was camo anti.....as you say...he doesn't think highly of him as a qb...so he already is not objective.

I'm a huge Lee fan, I kept calling for him to start sometime last season. But even I thought the passing game was sub par against Oregon. It may have had more to do with the small amount of pass plays called due to us being so successful in the running game and the dropped balls by receivers.

Still a meh passing game against Oregon nonetheless.

Two weeks in a row and you have not performed your famous screen capture analysis of our QB's accuracy.

I know you had no agenda the 1st time, so why not the past two weeks?

OBUDan made a comment the night of the Oregon game that he was going to do a throw analysis when he had the chance on Sunday. The only reason he did so was because there were a plethora of threads throughout that weekend that attributed JL's poor numbers to the WRs and drops. OBUDan simply tried to show people exactly where some of those passes were and discussed whether or not they were truly on the WR or the QB. He had some compliments as well as some criticisms for Lee.

Truly objective posters had no problem with what he posted. The only people that raised hell in the thread were the JJ haters because they thought he was not fair to Lee, and then you had some Lee haters who thought he was not harsh enough. Either way, drops have not been a problem the last 2 weeks and there have been no threads complaining about Lee's poor numbers being the WRs fault, thus there has been no analysis of Lee's throws.

If Lee has a bad game, OBUDan is not going to come back in full force or some bull shite. In fact, the only reason he would come back after a poor game would be if this board was overreacting to the performance, like people did against Oregon. If people are jumping Lee's shite and blaming him disproportionately, OBUDan will jump in and bring people back to reality.

kinda of obsessed with number of posts aren't we. Do you even have a life? To me it always says a lot about a person when they have a gazillion posts...

Huh? I do not think T-Bob is a good QB, but I can still give an objective analysis of him at the position.

Seriously, if Lee-lovers are trying to find someone to castrate on the JJ side, OBUDan is a poor, poor choice. He is as close to the middle as you will likely find in this stupid debate.

dude...i am completely objective.....I had an issue with them. I don't see ONE qb in the nation that hits the rec's perfect every throw. There were several drops in the oregon game where the wr/te had to either reach up a foot, or down a foot to make the catch...not like they were laying all out trying to make catches....that is fact. I don't need help understanding those balls may have been a few inches off...that is fricking ridiculous.....JL ain't perfect, but the damn rec's did not help the guy out all at Oregon. He is 30 out of 37 since that game......it always amazes me that SOME people cannot enjoy the ride for pride.......pride in saying JL sux, and when he proves them wrong it's like they are torn on an LSU win because Lee did well.....it's really pathetic....but it's what the LSU fanbase has turned into........as a 43 y/o fan, I have seen good times and bad with lsu, but this fanbase (driven by college kids) is pathetic....or at least part of it..

his post would indicate otherwise. A simple, Lee wasn't perfect, but he needs his WR's to help him out so he can begin to build his confidence. That is all that was needed......not a "the throw was slightly high shite"........I never saw one single person on here saying Lee was great. Most of the intelligent realize Lee has gone through quite an ordeal starting in 2008....and hanging in through all the criticism/boos...etc.....I'm sure every time he drops back in a big game, a pic six is in the back of his mind....his mechanics can be off just off of confidence......I'm not a huge Lee guy, but I can respect what he is going through, and the only way he gets better (and thus lsu gets better) is by gaining confidence.......but you can bet your arse, the first time he plays poorly, they will be all over his jock criticizing him..........I'm sure you guys remember how many pathetic games JJ had in a row last year......not knowing what was going on, deer in headlights, not looking past first rec...etc......it just gets old......

If you are objective, then OBUDan's post should not have bothered you much. It was specifically aimed at the few people on here that continued to say how great his throws were and it was all the WRs fault. OBUDan pointed out that at times it was on the WR and at times it was on JL. I think it is pretty simple.

And you are right, when JL has a poor game, the haters will be out in full force, but I can guarantee you that OBUDan will not be one of them. In fact, I can imagine he will be sticking up for JL because he truly tries to bring everything into perspective on this board. Here is to hoping that JL never has a bad game!

Camp Randall you are spot on on this one. That was a great analylis IMO. Nothing in that was negative. It had his take on every pass and they seemed very accurate to me.

You're not objective. NO ONE on this board is objective or without bias. If you were, you would have no interest in college football or LSU, specifically.

I swear to God, the next person who whines about someone's "bias" should burst into flames. When you complain about bias, you are normally displaying your own.

Jarrett played a good game. Haven't had a chance to re-watch it yet.

Sorry I hurt your feelings.

Several people have nailed it here. I acknowledged in that thread that the tone of the post could be construed as overly negative toward Lee, mostly because I don't trust him as a FB player. However, I have great respect for him as a person, and I'm happy to see that he's progressing and improving.

Let's not crown him yet, though.
