I remember when O was canned we had some fans bitching when we didn’t hire BN. What a joke . The SEC isn’t the Sun Belt. So glad some of our fans aren’t the AD.

I don’t know anybody that was mad we hired BK over Billy Napier. We were mad that he wasn’t even being considered… but that’s only because they wanted BK and we had not clue.
I was so hyped when someone leaked it was BK.

BN shouldn’t be allowed within 100 yards of LSU football program. Then or now!

There were people who still wanted Napier last year.

I thought we screwed up when Florida got him. But I didn’t trust the process. Now I trust Woody and the process. Thank God no one ever listens to me.

Culotta sold the program out a second time for insider access

Cullota only cares about his access, and is a horrible judge of character and coaching talent.

Yet i still like his show, well, some of it

I remember all the shite we got from the media when we didn’t hire Napier. Then when we hired Kelly, they melted. Very happy with how it all played out.

You either left the rant for a while, never went on the coaching changes board, or went temporarily blind for a month.

I humbly admit Napier was on my short list.

I still think he had a better chance of success, or at minimum a longer runaway to success, at LSU due to his experience in-state.

Especially after the loss to FSU right out of the gate.

Then again, tRant is a cesspool of morons.

It was 100% about the fact that he coached at ULL.

If he's at Central Michigan nobody really cares.

Lsu and Louisiana have a condition that makes them throwaway logic and replace it with local sentimentality.

The loyalty is admirable but the incestuous nature of it handicaps your opportunities to succeed.

There's a reason Louisiana politics are among the most corrupt and ineffective in the country. The football coaching search has unfortunately been pushed around by that corrupt Louisiana political culture.

Without Nick Saban LSU is still just an abov-average but not great program. It took an outsider to make people realize what they had and luckily for LSU Scott Woodward recognized what needed to be done for success and not feel good Advocate headlines.

As for Billy Napier, he WREAKED of "he's one of us" ala Orgeron (aka, let's ignore his actual accomplishments and boost him based on association like being in Louisiana and a former coach under Saban)
