not surprised on this one. Loston has all the physical tools to be an AA type safety he just couldn't wrap his head around the playbook.

Loston must be killin' it to be ahead of Reid.

Glad for him (and for Reid really). They're both special players.

Both will be on the field for the majority of the defensive snaps.

In some reports from spring practice it was said the that Loston was on the field because Reid had on a green jersey.

I am very pleased that we have 3 outstanding players at safety. If we get Landon Collins, that will also be the case in 2012.

I'm under the impression that Loston is at free safety and Reid is working out at both free and strong safety, but is better suited at strong. He just has B. Taylor in front of him at the time.

thats interesting since I believe landon collins is a strong safety. he and reid would be completing for the same spot.

They're both very talented so happy to have both and the competition at that position.

SS - Reid

Collins can play either safety spot. He could also play outside linebacker if he added 20 pounds. Collins is physical enough to do what Harry Coleman did. Reid doesn't have the football skills Collins does. Collins is better with coverage skills, ball skills, and is much quicker than Reid. Reid has straight line speed, but is stiffer than Collins. Collins can play either safety easily.
