By the way, the heat just got turned up on however many Bama fans show up in NOLA. We don't take to kindly to pompous Bammers especially when they just took a recruit out of our backyard (via his gf of course but that's another story).
Things may get ugly in the Quarter

Ohio State had more than that. It'll be 55/45 at worst.

40% of the SuperDome is about 30,000.

I expect Bama to have roughly 30,000 fans in the stadium.

That leaves room for 46,000 Tiger fans.

Miles beating Saban again is the only percentage I need to know.

"Alabama and LSU were each "allotted" 17,000 tickets for the contest, although that verb is a misnomer. Both were compelled to purchase those tickets. Of the remaining tickets, 28,500 go to Sugar Bowl season-ticket holders and 9,500 to title sponsors, ESPN/ABC and BCS -- and they are all gratis."

This is such a non-factor. LSU fans are louder and that is proved every year. Why do you think the Saints have a loud dome. That is LSU fans.

First, I was at the game. Ohio State did not have more than 25-30% of the dome.

Second, I was in Tuscaloosa this year. We we're outnumbered 95K to 15K or somesuch, scattered to the four corners of Bryant-Denny. It didn't matter. We owned the pregame parties, we owned the postgame parties, and, oh yes, our Tigers owned the game. LSU fans are just vastly louder than potbellied Bama prigs.

the vast majority of the rest go to Sugar Bowl Committee members. Guess where those members tend to be located, guess what team they cheer for.

and they are selling them to the highest bidder. LSU will end what with the majority of these tickets, but BAMA fans will purchase a huge block of them.

"Jennifer Swanson, a spokeswoman for TicketsNow, said 32 percent of its ticket sales have been to Louisiana residents, 15 percent each to Texas and Alabama residents, 8 percent going to Florida and 5 percent to Georgia."

LINK

Assuming half of Sugar Bowl season ticket holders are Tiger fans that held onto the tickets (an extremely low estimate) and that the other half of those Sugar Bowl Season ticket holders sold their tickets and these sales mirrored the online sales quoted above (and I'm giving Bama all of Florida and Georgia), then Bama would have bought less than 4,000 of those tickets
