out players for making stupid mistakes. The BAMA program wreaks of discipline. I certainly hope Les rights the ship and restores it to LSU.

did saban jumped on Arenas for catching that kick-off around the 10yd line then stepping out?

that was the momentum changer for the game.

yeah Saban jumped all in his shiznit. Arenas acted like a butt-hole all game up until that point. Too much woofing going on. Dude just give the ball to the official and move on.

because acting like a blithering idiot on the sidelines screaming at everyone = discipline.

Ever heard of the law of diminishing returns?

yeah...i realized this during the BAMA game...while watching the replay, when BAMA was driving down to try to score just before the end of regulation, they ran a play in which Ingram was tackled a yard short of the first down...the clock was ticking down with about 1:30 left, and Saban wanted to hurry up and run the next play, but it wasn't ready! so he called timeout, then turned around and said MOTHERfrickINWHATTHEHELLAREYA'LLDOINGODDAMNIT...JESUS CHRIST", to a couple of his coaches who just kept gazing across the field in an attempt to ignore Saban's temper tantrum....I'm sure that shite gets old!

I'm sorry, I must have missed your posts complaining when Laron Landry committed massive amounts of personal foul penalties under Miles and Saban.

Oh thats right, you probably didn't give a damn then. But now that we are losing, heaven forbid Tremaine Johnson, who plays his butt off when he gets his few chances, make one mistake. Oh no, that is something that needs to be addressed!

Please.

Yes, he's quite the Drama coach isn't he? Too bad about losing the shot at the National Championship & all. But the important thing is he put on quite a sideline show.

I agree that the good he has done shouldn't be outweighed by one bad thing.

However, uou also have to consider the impact of a frick up, and his had a huge impact -- maybe cost us the game. That being said, I've never considered it to be an unreasonable request to ask a grown fricking man not to be a fricking moron.

Tigercat, what LSU football team did you watch this year or any year since Miles has been here? LSU is always doing stupid crap in games, which was a MUCH LOWER % to when Saban was here. This year is the fulfillment of what has been building since Les has been the CEO of LSU football. It's just this year he didn't have a great QB or leader to bail his team out after bone head BS like in the past 3 years. The lack of discipline and not being in control finally caught up to our Tigers this year.

Is that the same as diminishing expectations. We go from expecting to play for a national championship to I hope we don't get embarrassed by GT or TT.

Yep ... and LSU was starting to experience some of that with players tuning out towards the end of 2004. Of course, with the deification of Saban by some - and I do appreciate the wonderful rebuilding job and NC crystal he brought to LSU - the proverbial law of diminishing returns effect in that regard has been conveniently swept beneath the rug, so to speak.

Why "discipline" is only associated with screaming and yelling publicly is beyond me. It's rather like wanting a DC who is always "aggressive" and "blitzes" all the time ... ANY tendencies another team's coaching staff picks up on with great regularity is going to get you burned on D. They key is, of course, to have a DC who is a clever game planner and able to make appropriate mid-game adjustments on the fly.

So it goes.

I could see Termaine getting poked in the eye on tv, he did not deserve to be chewed out. The dumb fricking SEC refs made the same shitty call last night when the flagged spikes for unnecessary roughness on the interception after sarah jessica tried to throw him down by the face mask.

I dunno I saw a lot of shite that Bama was doing all game long that really didn't exemplify discipline. Particularly with Cody and Arenas hitting after the whistle blows away from the play and Arenas headbutting a Florida player.

Just because they don't get penalized for it and the refs don't see it doesn't mean that it's "discipline"

I thought Bama looked more like 1990 Miami with all the woofing going on

+1

Funny how somewhat grown people are somehow impressed by a grown man yelling at teenagers.

Dont you think if this worked, he eventually wouldnt have to pitch a little "look at me" temper tantrum every 13 seconds.

I noticed a change in them as well.

Florida just kept coming at them. Bama did not answer the bell in the second half. And Arenas was acting a fool last night, too bad for such a good player.
