Given the news today, how would you rate Woodward's performance as AD out of 10? Just 24 hours ago, many of you would have said 9 or 10 outright, but do you still feel that way?

Personally, I would give Woodward a 7. The Brian Kelly and Jay Johnson hires are still too early to tell if they've worked out or not, meanwhile the Mulkey hire seems to have been a massive success. On the other hand, firing Wade looks like a bitch move; guess we will have to wait and see if it pays off.

Did you read the NOA? After being accused, he kept paying players.

Anyone making a decision based on the Wade firing is a moron. There’s legit proof of him paying a player multiple times before it was legal and there’s multiple level one violations.

I was a Wade supporter but there’s no shot he was going to survive this, especially when LSU can fire him with cause and now say everyone involved in any cheating is gone.

I really don’t know who he could hire that will get us consistently winning as much as Wade has. I also don’t know who tf will go out and support the basketball program now. Everyone loved Wade, I doubt any students will show up for games anymore. He just completely destroyed our basketball program for the near future. Now I will say that Wade dug his own grave, but the timing of this was absolutely ridiculous.

You can't be serious?

He used his own damn phone to negotiate hush money payments to stop a damn woman from reporting his payments to players....and not only did he use his OWN PHONE, he used his OWN BANK ACCOUNT to pay the bitch. All he had to do was deny, and tell her he was turning it over to FBI for extortion. It would have ended.

Dude was stupid and sloppy. He wasn't fired soon enough.

This wasn't Woodward's fault. Woodward didn't personally pay players, succumb to bribes, get caught on a FBI wiretap making strong arse offers, or sign a contract stating he could be fired without cause for NCAA allegations.

Stop blaming and looking at the world thru a purple and gold prism, and start realizing the mess Wade put this program in out of pure stupidity.

I figured out he was terrible when he signed Oregon to that massive deal

Was insane and everyone could see that coming back to cost us coming a mile away

Clearly Wade is the only coach in America that can win

So they were just Wade fans and not LSU fans? Must be a generational thing.

If the next coach wins the fans will come out, simple as that

Of course there are other coaches who can win but we just had our best 5 year stretch of basketball in three decades. In over 100 years of LSU basketball we’ve never had a coach do what Wade did in such a short period of time.

I think you right, if the next guy wins. Problem is the next guy will not win...no quality coach is coming here. He might as well let Kevin Nickelberry take over the team to get us through the next 2-3 years of sanctions. He might turn the offer down as all the players and recruits will transfer. We may not win more than 5-8 total games a year. No students nor fans will watch them play.

Woodward is supposed to make the athletic department successful. Getting rid of Wade because of Wade getting sloppy is a benefit for other sports. Hopefully the next coach, after the potential sanctions, can bring the same success back. I say net positive but I loved Wade's energy so I hate this "divorce"

Funny I don't feel embarrassed. I feel vindicated. Told you it was going to happen and. - it did. Not that hard to predict really. Football up next. Sorry to inform you.

firing Wade looks like a bitch move

After reading the NOA, any AD in the country would've fired Wade. There is literally a direct provision in Wade's contract stating he would be fired for cause if he incurred a Level 1 infraction. He incurred 6 of them.

He used his OWN personal joint checking account to pay a player. That's not a paper trail, that's a blood trail.

The bitch move would've been to not fire him and ignore a lack of institutional control finding.
