Reasons why Etling will be benched by halftime

1. State will take away the screen game.
2. No one is going to bite on Play action passes
3. His arm is weak. We can have a couple of steps on them and he will under throw the ball unless it's a busted coverage
4. State has better talent than most of the talent he has ever faced in college.
I hope he does well but I just don't see it happening. Being benched has given Harris a reason to just come out and sling it, and that's what he's always been best at.

Unless we are getting crushed or Etling gets hurt, there is no way he's getting benched. I agree that Harris will likely play again--in what capacity or how long is yet to be determined--but he needs longer than a week to get right mentally. Unless injury. Regardless, your thread is hot garbage.

I hope your "positive" attitude is contagious. Harris needs some encouragement.
Once Etling leads us to a three touchdown lead, its time to let Harris regain his confidence.

In our first 2 games when have you seen anyone bite on Play action. It's a waste this year

Has had 1 good game against SEC opponents. Hopefully, DE is capable if not I would rather go to option #3.
We need to quit settling for poor performance and move on to next man up.

How is it you see a weak arm and everyone else says he has a strong arm? NOT EVERY PASS HAS TO BE THROWN HARD - THROW SHORT PASSES! Go watch Brees with a decent OLINE. This game like every other one will be won in the trenches.
A decent running game will make play action pass work fool.
