Here's how this usually goes down. LSU fans can account for this.

If the road team wins, the fans were great. If the home team wins, the fans were terrible.

There's your visiting fan "formula" for bad fans. That's why ECU is so bitter.

In the 80's I was working in PA and had a chance to attend a PSU game in Morgantown. Since I had no dog in the fight I had neutral colors and was glad I did. What I saw the PSU fans go through was pretty bad. I said I would never return, but guess where my butt will be Saturday? lol

This...it also explains Auburn.

That is a HORRIBLE description of the environment at the stadium.

Listen up folks...you can trust me...remember, I'm the one who made the fan guide stickied to the top of your board.

This will be one of the better envirionments you see this year. The word has been spread about how well our fans were treated in Baton Rouge last year and we can't wait to return the favor. You're going to have an awesome time, so quit worrying about it.

would recommend being friendly but assertive. If you start with "SEC SEC" stuff, you're likely going to get sent to the hospital after the SEC rejected WVU this week. Cheer for your team, be happy, take along a WVU jersey that you can quickly slip over your purple in case things get out of hand.

You have to understand that most of these people are HARD workers in the coal mines, and they'll shut down the coal mines on a big game day like this. These families will spend every last dime they have to make it to Morgantown, and the game means everything to them. I'm serious.

This justifies it all. No one works as hard at the EERS...Right BEERS?

And the hits just keep on coming.

I live in Colorado, but was raised in West Virginia and went to college at WVU so I know how crazy it can get. You have to understand that most of these people are HARD workers in the coal mines, and they'll shut down the coal mines on a big game day like this. These families will spend every last dime they have to make it to Morgantown, and the game means everything to them. I'm serious. A good deal of the people are on crystal meth. It is a horrible problem even affecting the nicer pristine rural areas where my parents still live. As someone said, going to jail is not some terrifying experience, but a pastime and an opportunity to increase welfare benefits to their family. I would recommend being friendly but assertive. If you start with "SEC SEC" stuff, you're likely going to get sent to the hospital after the SEC rejected WVU this week. Cheer for your team, be happy, take along a WVU jersey that you can quickly slip over your purple in case things get out of hand. Good luck in the game, hopefully it is a good one to remember. Try to take some time to see the state, it is beautiful with lots to do.

Have been on their campus all day cking it out for
Sat-parking and all . Everyone there has been really nice, even had a Student give us a tour of the game day area which is about 3 miles away from the stadium.

Same experience in Tuscaloosa. Never heard a word or had a problem till we lost there and they were ASSHOLES. I complemented and walked on. I will be in M'Town in the morn.
