It is baseball between two relatively well matched teams. Certainly you give Singer the edge as a starter. But it is higher than 25%, hell Vegas has LSU favored last I heard which makes me question how much action they get on these games. LSU is clearly a better hitting team. Realistically I'd say mid 40% range.

And what did being cocky get OSU? Let's not get too big for our drawers just yet.

I was hoping someone would give me reason to up my optimism. Hasn't happened yet.

I get the blind homerism angle...just making sure that's all there is.

What were the percentages of coming out of the losers bracket and beating OSU twice?

If I win the lottery that's not evidence that my next lottery ticket has a 50-50 shot. The odds were long, and this Tiger team overcame them - they were still long.

If what I read earlier on here is correct the oddsmakers have us favored. I give Florida an 85% chance tonight. Frankly, if LSU wins tonight I fear that Manieri has sold his soul.

Whatever happens tonight I think LSU wins the series. Backs to the wall, Poche beats somewhat lesser pitching, and Lange puts the team on his back and carries LSU past Faedo to the championship.

That's where I'm at.

We had a performance out of Gilbert that I personally didn't see coming. I thought he'd pitch well, but I didn't think he could go more than 5 or 6 and I was worried about what would happen between that point and Hess. We jumped up big (which was basically the only way I saw us winning that game).

What we are asking out of Reynolds and the rest of the staff tonight makes the Gilbert performance seem like we were throwing Lange. Maybe Newman returns to form and eats up 4 innings? Bain?

Considering our pitching situation tonight, I have no idea how or why lsu is favored for game 1

I'm struggling with a plausible description of what would happen that doesn't involve us scoring 10.
