Classic Guilbeau. Willing to bet he doesnt believe this statement at all. Just getting a rise out of Tiger fans and some response. Move along.

Does this genius know that all of our te are at least 6'4" and 250 lbs. and jeremy hill will not be playing more then blue. Hill is a freshman who has skills and is more of a power back, but blue is a home run threat and a Junior.

Its so easy to get LSU fan rowdy. Espically this guy(GG). Most of the posters say they don't read his stuff, yet they all know its garbage. GG mission accomplished.

Blue has been the best RB of this group, period. But who really cares? Les can do what he did last year, run the hell out of em', and now rely on a decent QB to pick up the slack. DY-nasty!

This is a great problem to have, as a few other posters indicated--so many talented RB's. I think Blue will remain at RB & get his chance. I was wondering why there isn't more mention of Magee, but on him, it is possible to move him to WR, since there are so many RB's now and Hill just adds another very capable one to the mix.

If Ford and Ware are in the same or better condition as the start of last season, they will once again get the bulk of the carries... and they've earned it.

As far as Blue being the best RB on the squad, he may have one of the better ypc avg, but its easy to achieve that in mop up duty. The one thing I don't like about Blue is that he goes down way too easy and he hardly ever falls forward.

Ford and Hilliard always fall forward w/ defenders hanging on their backs. Ware was like this at the start of the season, but his intensity tapered off after his suspension

This might be the most ill-informed statement by an LSU beat writer I've read in a long time.

I am no fan fo Guilbeau but he did not create this story. This was info going into Spring Practice regarding something they may work on. Blue is already seeing a limited number of snaps and the coaches were looking for some way to get him more touches. The RB picture is only getting more crowded this year with the addition of 5* Jeremy Hill.

I inquired to the Rant after Spring Practice to see if anybody had heard any traction on this but the responses were mostly "no".

This was the first I had seen of any mention of the defensive option however.

We're in trouble if that's true. Would make it the least talented backfield in at least 15 years here.

Like I said.
Maybe he's more talented than I'm giving him credit for.

He's averaging almost 6 1/2 ypc. What are your specific concerns about Alfred Blue as a running back? I thought he was the best RB "not named Kenny Hilliard" the back half of the season, and maybe even the best (Ware was dinged up and Ford is still inconsistent, especially inside).

Dude...

Blue will gain the most yards this season, Hilliard will score the most TD's. I wish there was a way to wager on this in Vegas.
