i have lived in Arkansas the past 10 years and overall the pig people have been hospitable, 99% of conversations good natured and enjoyable. Let me tell you, things are changing. I guess most were nice only because our program has been superior.... but over the past weeks I have dealt with many that are out for blood. I think Petrino has them believing (and i do believe they will ultimately pass up auburn, miss. st. and ole miss). They keep reminding me of beating LSU 2 times in a row. I say "A big game for you all is to beat us. A big game for us is winning championships".

Just mention how we kicked their arse not once but twice in the CWS on national tv and how good it feels to win 6 national championships in baseball

Got to Love smack talk! It makes the world go around. I would Love to see a stronger rivalry develop between the 2 programs that attracts more media attention (i.e. "The Iron Bowl) This could happen as Arky becomes more competitive. Means only good things for LSU.

I believe that the powers of both universities could come up with something a little better than that. To me it is one of the things that is holding this from being a good rivalry. To have a good rivaly to me, you need a good name for a game between the two schools. The boot has meaning a little and I mean a little meaning to us but not much. Why give it a different name that might would draw attention to it.

Whatever we are going to roast some hog come this fall in Death Valley! That should staighten things out again!

Don't get that kind of noise here in Texas but seems Arkansas and Ole Miss fans have a case of the 'running mouth'. Seems to me when they win the SEC then I'll take notice but until then I would just smile and walk away

I've had to live in Arkansas for the last 17 years...Married to an UofA alum even, so it is a pretty big game around my house. (There are some pretty major wagers)...My response to the Hog fans who want to bring something up is that we look at that game as a tune-up for a BCS bowl and try not to get anybody hurt, while they look at it as an opportunity to get to the Cotton or Indy Bowl. If they continue to talk trash, then I can bring up the crystal footballs, this usually shuts them up.

Just mentioning the fact the Hogs haven't even made a BCS Bowl game usually shuts them up.

Keep it classy. The Tigers will take care of the Hogs on the field.

Got to be sure that we not only kick Petrino's arse on the field, but that we kick his arse in recruiting.

that is all the razorback fans have had to celebrate over the last 2 years... they havent been good in anything else like basketball or baseball ( well at least not compared to us ) so thats all they can say. Just remember that we have 2 balls and they have no balls lol (not just talking about crystal either). When we play arkensas for our last game we will kick their azz. we know that and so do they...

losing in baseball this year really pissed them off, I bet.

They seem to beat us at least once during our championship seasons--good for them.

I live here too. They are very jealous of us. They could lose every game during the season and finish off with an upset against LSU and they will feel that they have had a great year. If we lose to them three years in a row I might resign my job and leave the state.

i've lived here for the past 12 years. Wife and daughter-inlaws family from here. My sons inlaws rag him pretty bad. I try not to boast too much because of the last two years. I always remind them they would rather play in the Cotton Bowl than the Sugar Bowl. They are pretty high right now with Petrino giving them a vision of the promise land. And not taking anything away from Petrino, I just don't think they will ever have the players to compete at the level to win a championship anytime soon. By the time that happens Petrino will be gone. Let him have a couple of 9 or 10 win seasons and he's history in Arkansas IMO. Also this seems to be bigger to them than to us, although the Ole Miss game, because of Nutt has taken on new meaning.
I do have one admission to make, I tll people I like Arkansas as long as they are not playing LSU, but I truly can't stand them. I could really get on a rant but I wont.LOL.

The Ark fans on here don't speak to the volumes of delusion in general of their fanbase. The biggest delusional homer I have ever known is an Ark homer on another board I post on. The guy honestly drinks so much Ark kool-aid it's hilarious. He clearly has no concept what Arkansas football (or any sports) really is in the national scene. He touts those 2 wins recently like their superbowls and there's no way they'll ever lose to us again.
