he wasn't moving very well..
even this past game against atm he looked slow and not running as well

If he wasn't injured he was afraid of getting injured ... He was highly reluctant to keep the ball on read option and didn't appear willing to tuck out and run when the pocket broke down.

You have to be borderline suicidal to even entertain the thought of defending the QB position in a Les Miles offense.
I'm only going to attempt a discussion as it relates to our most recent game. First off, when facing a team last in the conference stopping the run, especially b/w the tackles, I would assume our gameplan to be much what we are accustomed to seeing. Plays right into our hands. But, for some inexplicable reason, we decided to show off our QBs accurate passing skills, throwing 1st and 10, 2nd and 5, etc. This led to some obvious 3rd down pass attempts, which were just as successful as the others.
Mind you, last year, if you recall, Jennings carried the ball for around 130 yards on designed QB keeps. I say keeps, because we don't give our QB an option because we don't trust their read. So, back to Sat night, I would say we ran shotgun w Fournette as the one back about 40% of our running plays, and all were designed read options. Can you tell me when Harris got his first of TWO carries in the game? With 4:12 left in the 3rd Q, Harris kept for a first down run. In all other instances, Harris handed off and carried out the fake w/o a defender being 5-15 yards from him.
Let's say he was injured and not an option to carry the ball. Why handicap your offense that way? Especially when you saw first hand the damage the QB did on the ground vs their defense just last year, using a guy that's sitting on your bench. If Harris could have just had even a couple of early carries, just think how much more effective Fournette could have been if A&M had to respect the QB as a viable running option.
Look, I for one, am done trying rationalize anything Les Miles does w the QB position. He wouldn't know what one looks like, and if he happened upon one, he would be certain to harm him in an unspeakable manner. I'm truly not concerned about losing the Franks kid, because if Miles thought this kid was the answer, there is no doubt he is not.
Injured or not, Harris completed the full Miles transformation Sat night on the 2 pt conversion play. He went full-Jefferson w the aborted, forward pitch pass. You can change the name of the QB, you can change the name of the OC, the production will remain the same under Miles.

Yes, there was a play where he stayed down and came up limping. Medical staff gave him some attention after that and we didn't run anymore design runs for Harris for the remainder of the game. Obviously don't know what that was or the lasting effects, but there was something there.

Confirmed.

During and after the Alabama game, his mechanics showed a marked decrease in proper footwork resulting in sailing pass attempts.
During and after the Alabama game, LSU ran fewer options and designed runs in which Harris was the likely or intended ball carrier.
It seems rational to deduce that Harris was injured during the Alabama game and that the injury affected Harris's passing and running production and altered LSU's play calling in the back end of the season.

I've never had a hernia, so I wouldn't know how much something like that would affect his mechanics. It is interesting to see that were being told his was injured right when he started to suck. I'd be curious to know if it happened in the first half and it attributed to that INT to start the 2nd.

Oh Jesus here we go again with the "Harris was injured" crap. Same as last year when people said he was injured during Auburn. Let it go man
But, he was injured at Auburn. He literally had his ankle taped up at all times during the rest of the season.

I'm going to go with a combination of better defenses AND injured.
I mean yeah, the better defenses totally stoned our running game. But, let's be honest, suddenly, Harris was coming up short on 20 yard throws. And not a little short either.
An abdominal hernia is going to mean any slightly awkward throw is gonna hurt.

I think that we played better teams that out coached us, but that doesn't explain why all of the sudden Harris lost the ability to throw accurately.

I blame Clapp. His butt patt to Harris after he got hurt didn't help.
Posted on 1/4/16 at 5:30 pm to Salviati
If he was hurt then maybe we should've played Jennings. His scrambles almost won it in 2014

You are a dumbass and haven't seen the pic of his leg going three different ways during that game when he got sacked. Shut it dude.
