I wanted to include Mauck and Flynn on my list, but I thought I go with starters who went for more than a couple of yrs. Hard to leave out those to with the NCs though.

I suggest you put "J. Russell" first so you won't run the risk of being called 'a racist'.

This is mine! And I have a tie for #6 between Craig Nall and Marcus Randall.

I always thought it odd how Nall could have been an NFL backup for a few yrs in Green Bay.

im gonna get blasted for this but i didnt think booty was that bad of a qb. hard to be good when the team wont block or catch passes for a qb

Maybe because Dinardo didn't know what the frick he was doing with the qb position. Booty was going to be the starter that year no matter what.

He was the only QB to get beat by State in the last 18 years and UAB as well.

Mike Hillman was good. Left hander with accuracy.

I remember Dinardo saying he was going to go for a run and eat some past and then decide who the starting QB was

In his defense though all three were NFL caliber QBs so it might have actually been a hard decision.

and he was the first qb to beat bama at home in fickin decades. the crappiness of the team back then contributed to those loses. im not saying he was the best thing in the last 50 years, im just saying the team around him was part of the problem
