If he is not going to make those throws, why call those plays?

D- he starts too late, his plays are long developing. We will be buried under a mountain of points against Tennessee. I personally see little difference in cam Cameron and Denbrock.

This is exactly what i was saying last night. The plays on offense seem like they take too long to develop for JD to be comfortable with. Going with JD,then they need to do a little better with adjusting the play calling to what he can do better. Hes looked like an entirely different qb with a more up tempo approach, which looks like he overthinks and makes panicked decisions at times

Consistency on offense just hasn't been there in any of the 3 bigger games we've played this year. BUT i will give credit that when it gets to the point of NEEDING to score, the offense has stepped up and went on scoring drives, every single time this year. Even losing the FSU game, LSUs offense had multiple scoring drives at the end of that game, that without multiple mistakes in other areas, LSU could've won that game because the offense stepped up when needed.

I think thats a huge positive to build on, if they can just get more consistent at the start of games too. Luckily, i think we can have more success moving the ball against the Tennessee defense than FSU, State, or Auburn. But now itll be on the defense even more to keep the game in within reach for the offense to make plays. Tennessee legit has the potential to score on every series or every other series, so any of this non existent offense til late 2nd or third quarter will likely be attempting to come back from 24/28 down.

He doesn't have a QB. I'll reserve judgment until he does. How can you judge when the QB drops back, tucks and runs?

And don't say "route combinations". That's not it. Everyone runs similar routes.

D. Offensive scheme is garbage. Kelly will stick with him to the demise of the program.

1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi shuffle shuffle - run.

Thats a decent snapshot of the offense so far.....Daniels has plenty of time but doesnt know when his receivers are breaking in their routes and should be open at that time they are breaking......just a guess - The QB should be going through progressions in that order and have a decent auto clock in his head of when each route may open.....much easier said than done

I’d like to see more tunnels, tempo within drives, and a few pop passes in the RPO game.

Some of the play calling was terrible. The Emory fumble was due to the sorry arse play they had called. Auburn had 10 in the box and run blitz.

Several more bad calls led to stalled drives like continuing to try to make a passer out of Danniels when we were getting 4yds a carry.

This. No doubt this kid has been relying on his feet/speed since peewee football and has been getting a pat on the back for "making it happen".

B. Denbrock isn't the one missing 5 yard passes.

I see no progression from the FSU game at QB.

Start the game with some easy throws to the flat to get in rhythm. Teach Daniel’s to take a hit and not be scared and abandon the pocket after his first read… needs to give WRs another second to break open. Coach him up!

This will never happen. He is what he is, and no amount of coaching will change it.

I don't think he has been great but I will give him credit for understanding his players abilities. JD is not an accurate or confident passer. Our RBs are not great. We have 2 freshman as tackles. Denbrock is very conservative because he knows if he opens things up the risk of turnovers is high. JD has not thrown 1 int so far this year. When has an LSU qb not thrown an int in the first 5 games. I don't like the play calling but I understand the reasoning behind it. Part of the OCs job is to know what he has talent wise and call plays to best suit that. He calls a very low risk game with low rewards.

I honestly wouldn’t know any better if you said Les and Cam Cameron were calling plays.

So far he's been consistent. LSU's offense hasn't even reached the level of being "vanilla". An anemic passing game and running up the middle constantly this way makes the Miles/Cameron offense seem exciting. Something needs to change.
