But it's not "crazy" for such a high avg hitter. With these bats.. I'm not surprised at all... Especially since rhymes isnt that fast.

% of hits that are extra base hits
Nola - (18/56) 32%
Hanover - (11/53) 21%
Katz - (27/65) 49%
Rhymes - (14/90) 16%
Jones - (16/53) 30%
Fields (6/26) 23%
Snickeris (4/21) 19%

-I guess its not super low, but I'd expect a lot more doubles from a guy who gets the ball to the gap. Its very low IMO.

**These people are just from the season totals who have over 20 hits from the in game thread. Didn't try and pick and choose or anything.

I see what you're saying.. But still wouldn't call it "crazy"... Mostly because He doesn't strike out.. Which means he is concentrating on just putting the ball in play. That mentality is gonna result in ALOT of singles.

Assuming we make Omaha, Raph has a minimum of 11 games left to get 21 hits. Realistically, we probably have 15-17 games left. Let's hope at least.

Yea. I still love Rhymes and all, but if you told me he would get an extra base hit only 16% of his hits or ~8% of his a/b's I would be surprised.

It's just remarkable how well he makes contact with the ball and gets on base. It's going to be pretty close IMO whether he gets the hits record

27/65 does not equal 49%.

I say he locks up the hit record in the second game of the CWS.

He's the master at this. It's frickin' amazing how he seems to put the ball where the defenders aren't, and even when he does, they seem to flub it.

So 16 hits to tie the record? He needs atleast 7 more games IMO. That means we'll need to play a few games atleast in Omaha

16 hits in 7 games is a lot. I think we need at least 10+ games, unless you're expecting him to hit at a .500 clip in those 7 games
